After watching some video reviews on this magnifier, I decided to purchase it and pair it with Sightmark's Wolverine FSR Red Dot. My initial impressions were that it was a clean, well built magnifier that did it's job. A few issues I had with it were that it was large, heavy, and the eye relief was very sensitive. I also did not like that the adjustments on the side did not lock into place, and are not that tight in the first place, so they can move around when putting the rifle in and out of the case. After about 2 weeks, I wasn't satisfied. I decided to spend a little more money and try out the Burris AR-Tripler Gen 2. Right away I loved the smaller, sleeker size. The adjustments are locked into place and you need a tool (flathead) to adjust the picture. I love this because I can be confident that once I set it then I won't need to worry about it anymore. The other huge difference I noticed is the eye relief. Sightmark advertises a 4" eye relief. The Burris says 1.5-2.5"....and the Burris feels 10 times better. From what I understood, the more eye relief the better...but that doesn't seem to be the case here. With the Sightmark, I had to be exactly in the right spot in order to get a clear picture. Any little bit off of the ideal spot will result in an unclear magnification. With my new Burris, it feels like I get a perfect picture as long as my eye is in the general ballpark. It's much more forgiving with eye placement and distance. That is a game changer for me. No one wants to spend 5 seconds trying to get a clear magnification. It should be instant, and that's how the Burris is. Now that I've had experience with a quality magnifier (Burris) vs. the budget option (Sightmark), I have to say that although Sightmark can get the job done...for a few more bucks you can get a much, much better quality magnifier. ... show more

I think this is a good overall magnifier for the price. Very good eye relief and not much distortion when properly adjusted. My favorite feature is how easy it is to adjust the centering of the dot with the large finger adjustable knobs. For me, this optic does not have a permanent home on one rifle. In-between the quick release mount and the large knobs, I can easily move this magnifier to different rifles and quickly adjust to work with several of them. ... show more

Clear, flips to side with strong detent/ball bearing securing the magnifier in either position. Pairs FLAWLESSLY with extremely close tolerance with the Wolverine CSR/FSR. Maybe 2mm distance between the two. Adjustment knobs are great but I wish they were under some form of cap- easy to manipulate them by accident when transitioning from mag/unmag. However- thats an opinion, not a flaw. Some people I'm sure prefer ready access for adjustments. Perfect for what I wanted. Attached easy. Easy flip. Matches my red dot perfectly. Will note that the adjustment tool(s) were not in the box even though it said it was (box was sealed). Not a big deal as I have plenty of tools, but it just needs to be mentioned.
