  • Best bang for the buck, good laser
Color: Black
I've got three of these now. The third one I purchased here on Amazon. This is an impressive piece of gear, especially for the price. Sightmark really did a good job on this laser. Construction is solid and the quality is great. Laser, although not a true 5 mw laser (its spec'd at <5mw) its pretty close and measurement pegs it at 4.8 mw (on the new one from Amazon and the older ones I have). The laser is bright. Distance, I can see it in full sunlight at about 30 yards which is about the same in a side by side comparison as the top of the line name brands that cost more (e.g. Crimson Trace, Steiner, etc...) that I have and in areas where the target is a little shaded at around 50 yards. Night, of course, is even further. The external switch, well, like the others I have I am not that excited about it but it works and is handy. But I still prefer to activate the laser by the button on the laser instead. However, on one that I have the switch didn't last long but Sightmark got a replacement to me very quickly. If there were ever a better after-market replacement switch for it though I would replace it with the after market switch. Workmanship is great, quality is great, function is great. I have the new one on the top rail of one AR-15, mounted right in front of the Sig Romeo MSR, and set up for a parallel zero. The SIG MSR is at full co-witness height on the mount that comes attached to it, I do not even notice the LoPro mini sight so it will not interfere with full co-witness if that's what you use. I will say though, that if you also have iron sights mounted and they are wide in width that the laser will hit the front sight body on the right side as it comes from the factory. The laser aperture center on the top rail is centered over the right edge of the picatinny rail if you need a reference for initial parallel zero set up. ... show more

  • Not bad, could be better................
Color: Dark Earth
When my laser arrived it had a scratch on the side. Not sure if this was a return and resale item or if it was something that happened at the factory. The item looks bulky, but it really isn't. I found it to be appropriate in size and easy to mount. It wasn't expensive for a laser, but has room for improvement. Its a little heavy in the big scheme of things. In daylight at the range, 25 yards is a stretch. Really hard to see, so don't expect it to be a great "daylight" laser unless you are inside 25 yards. Fantastic at night. Because of the design, access to the on button is just ok. Would be better if you could use the pressure pad, however, the pressure pad only activates the light if you hold it down. To me, that's a big deal. I want the light to stay on when I push the button, and turn off when I push it again. "Momentary on" isn't really practical, trying to hold the button down to keep the laser on and maneuver whatever it's attached to. Holds zero like a champ and easy to adjust. Overall a decent item for the price, but could be better. If you are thinking about buying one of these, would suggest you get it WITH the flashlight to keep the overall weight down vs a sightmark laser and separate flashlight (adding bulk and weight.) ... show more

  • Holds Zero
Color: Dark Earth
Insane quality. Holds zero really well. It comes with included pressure pad, but I don’t find it necessary as it’s only a hold to activate. Normally, you want lasers either on or off. That said, it’s much smaller than I anticipated and that’s a great thing! unfortunately, it doesn’t come with a charger and it’s a proprietary battery, so I’m not sure how to charge it. Be aware. (Going to their website later to see about a charger) ... show more

  • Has a lot of promise but just falls a little short ....
Color: Black
I purchased a Lopro mini and returned it when I realized they make this Lopro Combo that has a laser along with an IR illuminator. So, I bought this on an optics website, since they had just sold out of this item, at the time. I appreciate Sightmark making something affordable with these features, but a couple design features make it hard to put into real-world use. Firstly, everything works as it should and it seems to be robust --- actually, maybe too robust --- like a tank hanging on the end of your barrel. Yes, this thing weighs about a pound with batteries!!! They need to trim the weight. And, this thing has a big footprint! Lastly, they should have designed some type of button lock/guard to prevent accidental pressing of the activation buttons. Do I recommend this? I give it 3.5 stars. For $300 more I could get a lighter and more advanced similar system, but I decided to go the cheap route and here we are. So, on the cheap, I do have a day/night laser system combined with day/night illumination, which allows operation around the clock if needed (using nightvision). ... show more

  • Excellent choice.
Color: Black
Mine is mounted on an AR15 pistol chambered in 6.5 Grendel. Installs easy. I recommend Locktite thread locker on any accessories. Very compact for a rifle laser but heavy enough to feel well built. Holds zero with no issues (so far). Green laser is visible at 25 yards in sunlight, maybe farther on a different surface or for someone with better eyesight than me. At night it’s visible at several hundred yards. I chose not to use the cord switch. Just not a big fan of those. There’s an activation button on both sides so it’s easy to position at an ergonomic spot on the rail. I also have the older model Sightmark laser/light combo model on another AR15 pistol that still functions as it should after close to a thousand rounds. I chose to go with the laser only on this gun because I wanted a more powerful light than the combo model has, though the combo model is very good for home defense purposes. Adjustment is easy. I just visually lined it up at 100 yards with my optic and it’s dead-on. That’s also an easy check to see if it’s still zeroed without having to go to the range. Use Locktite and don’t over torque it and it’ll be fine. Overall I’m very happy with it. There are more expensive choices out there and many cheaper ones that I would avoid. But Sightmark has worked well for me so far. It comes with a battery but switch to Duracell when it needs replacing. They last much longer. I hope this helps. ... show more
