Buying both black and yellow lets you mark on most any color. This is a soft crayon with a wound paper coating. To get more marker, you pull a string that cuts the outermost paper layer, then unwind perforated paper to expose more crayon. The perforation is imperfect, and often the paper tears, making it hard to "sharpen", and the length of newly exposed crayon breaks easily. If you're careful, these problems can be overcome, and having a simple marker that won't dry out and can be washed off if necessary is a good thing. ... show more

The pencils are good to use, but when I open my parcel it was bad condition, the box was open, 2 pencil were broken from the pencil head.

These are bright-white wax/grease pencils. They have a peel off spiral body, but you can also run them through a sharpener if you need to do fine detailing. When left coarse, these mark on hard surfaces very well. They don't melt in hot weather, left in toolboxes in the car, etc. These are great for marking on dark surfaces, like a tire. If you need to mark on light wood, you probably want a dark or red pencil of the same style. I don't use these often, but I always keep them in the garage for car/bike/wood/plumbing type work. Bought because when using a sharpie magic marker to write the date on bulk items I buy at warehouse stores the marker would fail after awhile or on plastic packaging. So far these wax markers write on most anything and don’t dry out or fail. On some plastic you have to go over it awhile until enough wax builds up to start writing.
