ONE CON: A lot of the time when these tubes have sharpeners in the cap, or a sharpener has some kind of box, it's designed so the shavings get captured in the lid/cup.That way, you sharpen, then dump all at once. Not so here. THE SHAVINGS WILL FALL OUTSIDE THE CAP. Not a biggie, but something to consider. It also means there's a semi-sharp groove in there, so careful how they're packaged if these are gifts. That's not a big deal to me. These guys met and exceeded my expectations. I'm head over heels in love. Enough so, I ordered another set the same night they came in. And there's already an additional set in the cart for later to keep in just as a child or adult pick-me-up. The cap fits snugly. The cardboard tube is durable and thick. The cutesy label is affixed really, really well. the sharpener sits in the cap firmly and does not seem to jiggle. Perfect. Bonus: While they're cute enough for the gushiest goo-goo gusher, both the blue bear and brown raccoon would totally work for a younger boy or soft-and-fuzzy guy. Couldn't be happier. Really. In my family, a stocking is not just filled with candy. It is a whole other way to give actual gifts. So I ordered a bunch of these to go in the kids stockings. I even saved one for myself because they are just so cute. The sharpener works really well. I just hold it over a garbage can and let it work. They are mini colored pencils. Bought for pretend school for stuffed animals. Kid wanted school supplies for the "babies". They ended up being cute, but even better, the kid actually uses them! I'm using it for entertaining my daughter at restaurants. I can leave it in th he car without the fear of melting like the pack of crayons. The top isn't the most secure so I put it in a zip lock bag. Love the variety of colors in it. I got these to go with some adult coloring books and I liked the variety and portability. What I don't like is the lack of pigment. Even pressing hard, you can't really see much color.
