Many say the rotating light is too loud but the one I received is super quiet (can only hear something if you put your ear up to it). Also, some reviews say you can't have the light on without it rotating, but that is not the case. You can have the projection without rotation. We first purchased this adorable alarm clock/nightlight in Jan. 2023 and loved it until the wiring stopped working & batteries wouldn't work either. We purchased again in April 2023, Nov 2023 and again in May 2024, each time having the same issues. This last time, the wires became frayed & I was worried it is a fire hazard so I contacted Amazon for help. The first rep I spoke to wanted me to return item w/out reporting issue, so I called back and spoke with another rep who understood the potential hazard & escalated my concerns to the correct dept. I got this for my son since he wanted an alarm clock. Great for a youngster as the projectors are easy to change out. The only difficulty is that the buttons on bottom are extremely easy to press, and when pressed, your other buttons won't work, so it needs picked up to change time or whatnot.
