To make one yourself the description said to use a sewing machine which I never used before and I felt overwhelmed by all the different ones on the market. After looking into some machines and not knowing what to look out for I went with this one and I’m so glad I did! It arrived two days after ordering and it was ready to use right out of the box. When I started sewing the piece of fabric they included, I easily got the hang of it very fast even my 6 year old enjoyed trying it out with ease. I was able to complete my project in less than an hours and was very happy and proud of how it turned out, thanks to this wonderful sewing machine! Don’t hesitate buying it! I purchased this little sewing machine for my 13 year old. She likes to sew, but she isn't by any means proficient. I wanted her to have something to learn with and I didn't want it taking up too much space. This sewing machine is adorable and powerful. She has used it consistently to make a little blanket for her teachers baby. We haven't tried to sew through the batting, but for small projects I know it's perfect! ... show more

Super convenient sewing machine for beginners or someone who wants to do quick little things (like mending and patching tears) if you have trouble with getting a the threading all set up correctly there are tons of YouTube videos. I was a bit confused at first but found a YouTube video showing the exact model and how to thread it all though and how to work it! I think it was a great purchase! ... show more

I got this for my then 9 year old who recently got into sewing. While this machine does work, it's not the easy to use and definitely not beginners friendly.

    • Wouldn't Really Sew
I was incredibly excited for this to come in. Unfortunately, it wasn't usable for me. I had to get entirely different spools of thread and had to find my own way to make the thread go through the needle multiple times because of how useless the directions were. It's such a shame, too--this could have really been a great sewing machine. It is incredibly light, super chic, and can really go for a bit if you get a good thread going. ... show more
