For the price and what I am using it for its great! This is NOT for high security. This is to prevent grab and run. Easy to install. I did not use provided anchors as I built a wood shelf around the safe. Drilled additional holes in the sides and used 1/4-20 bolts with nylock nuts. I also damaged the bolt threads after install to prevent easy removal. They will have to destroy the counter to get it out. In the 70's when self service gas stations started I remember people would cut through the tin walls. Drill a hole down with a Hammer Drill, using the stations power, drop in a 1/4 piece of dynamite and blow the floor safes out of the floor. If they want it bad enough they are going to get it know matter what you do. The best security is not letting anyone know you have it in the first place. ... show more

The shelf broke the first day. Not a huge deal but a bummer. Easy to use and great for my wife as she is a bartender and has cash every night. Easy to drop in cash and keep it safe.

    • Severe Damage to my Dining Table

Purchasing this product is a great example to being penny wise and pound foolish. The safe arrived quickly and was decently packed. Of course, it is cheaply made, but it is inexpensive. A true example of how they make things in China in order to sell them cheaply to fools around the world. The real problem I had with this safe is that I unpacked it on my dinning room table, which is a finely made piece of oak furniture. I set it on the table in order to read the instructions a program the lock. Unfortunately, the manufacturer left a very sharp steel "burr" sticking out of the center of the bottom. When I moved the safe, the burr caught on the wood and left a deep gouge in the table top. I realize I was stupid to set the item on the table without protection. Nevertheless, I was not expecting the safe to have such a sharp flaw on it. It is an expensive unfortunate outcome. The proper repair of the tabletop will cost me 4x what the savings on the safe was. It is also a lesson for me not to put unfamiliar things on the table without protection. ... show more

    • Very weird and annoying.

This safe works for our purposes, but it beeps really loud when pushing the keypad buttons, I wish you could turn it off or at least turn it down. But the main problem with this safe is that I have to put the code in twice to get it to open. It always works on the second try, but I always have to type it in twice. The first time it says it has opened (the light turns green) but will not allow the lock to turn. The second time it also turns green and then the lock turns. Very weird and annoying. Edit: We have used this safe for almost 4 years now. It still does the weird annoying thing above where it only unlocks on the second try, but we are used to it now 😂 is it an added security feature? Who knows... ... show more
