Some assembly is required, but it's easy. (They even supply screwdriver) Brush head gets into rounded corners and sweeps well. You'll get a workout from the resistance the bristles offer (that's good). I've only used it for one day so I can't speak to durability, but it is a quality-built unit. Though delivered yesterday and only used once, I was impressed with the quality of the brush. It met all criteria used when ordering a new pool brush: Metal handle attachment (screws found on brush side), curved brush to provide ease of cleaning steps and corners, brush bristles not too coarse to damage plaster, ability to hug walls while brushing off debris or algae. You can feel the friction as the brush is pushed along pool surfaces. Previous brush could not maintain wall contact while brushing from sides down to drain. Well made - I like the rounder edges. Sturdy - does a good job with the flat surfaces and walls of the pool. Time will tell regarding the durability but better and less expensive than the pool store ones I have bought in the past.
