We purchased our first one of these in 2021 for our first child, and bought a second for our room in 2023. It really works well for what we need. It doesn’t get hot, keeps the room (especially the kids’ room) at the temperature we want, and the safety mechanisms function just as they should (i.e. turning off when it is picked up). We love this for the kids but also for our cats, who believe they own everything in the house. Dialing in what temperature works best can be challenging, but my husband wasn’t phased by it and opted to save the money on this versus the heater a step up from this. Our toddler did figure out how to slide the lock down to turn the heater on or off, but we caught it quickly and drilled it into her that she’s never to touch the heater. We’ve not had a problem since. Toddler Two might be a different story, but at least we know what to watch for. ... show more

    • Perfect for Nursery (with one caveat)

The nursery is unfortunately the coldest room in our house, and there isn't much we can do with the central heating situation. During the winter months, the nursery would drop in temperature to the high 50s at night, which was way too cold. I was terrified about putting a stand-alone heating unit in the room with the baby all night, but I was also desperate. I'm so glad I purchased this heater! It's very safe and truly simple to use. It has an automatic shut off if it's moved, which the baby did a lot of when we first placed it in the nursery. It's cool to the touch, and you can lock the control panel so littles can't change the settings. It keeps the nursery at a consistent temperature, which I didn't think was possible with the size of the room and vaulted ceilings. We still have sleepless nights, but at least I know it's not because she's cold. The only complaint I have is the incredibly bright display light that you can't turn off. We try to keep the nursery as dark as possible at night, and the display light is bright enough to light up the entire room. We found covering the display with several layers of black masking tape to be an inconvenient but successful way of blocking out the light. Overall, I still highly recommend this product to anyone who needs a safe stand-alone heating solution for their child's room. We just received this and the first night I feel like it just paid for itself. The unit is very sleek and the perfect size for our little one’s bedroom. Set up was simple. Attaching the remote sensor was super easy and really makes the whole unit just function more efficiently. The three options of low, high, and fan only were both exactly as expected and not too noisy. The low is barely noticeable, high and fan only are not super loud at all but do pump up the heat/air really quickly. This is the first night where one of us hasn’t had to climb the stairs multiple times to adjust her thermostat to keep her room at a constant temperature in a couple of weeks. Super thankful we have this to keep baby girl nice and warm through the winter! ... show more
