  • I love this saw.
I have a confession. I have the worst luck with two stroke engines. After Hurricane Helene dropped a tree in my Screen Porch and dumped enough branches to make a bonfire visible from Saturn, I about burned up my old electric plug in chainsaw. It did the job, but it’s old and tired. I got the Senix 18 to finish the cleanup. All I can say is wow. It’s a little heavy, but not really much more than a similar sized saw with a two stroke engine. The torque makes it cut through branches quickly. So far I haven’t cut anything bigger than eight inches thick, but it went through as well or better than my Poulan Twenty inch gas powered chainsaw. I haven’t yet tackled the 90’ long tree in the back. I had to clear everything else first and let Insurance see it first. I expect it will continue cutting at least as well as my Poulan and Husqvarna. With none of the fighting or frustration to get it running. Good battery life, and excellent cutting power. Update. Minor temporary drawback. The chain and bar is proprietary to Senix. Made by Oregon, which is an excellent source of chainsaw parts, it is exclusive to Senix. You can get replacements from Senix, but it’s a little pricey. In a couple years there will almost certainly be additional suppliers of these items and the prices will drop. Update. The picture shows the tree I am cutting up with the saw. ... show more

  • Lightweight and powerful
I used this saw to cut trees that had fell and to move them out the way to burn pile. I used it approximately for 1 hour cutting 24” trees in 3 ft sections. 4 trees and the battery life still has 3/4 left. The quality of the cut is amazing, it cut like a butterknife going thru butter it’s that easy. Chain didn’t get lose at all still tight. Senex is a great brand and if need be I would buy from them again. ... show more

  • Excellent Saw - Expensive Chain
We had a 115 foot douglas fir fall across our and our neighbor's yard after a major wind storm. I ordered the Senix X6 40 volt chainsaw and an extra battery. The tree was 24 inches at the base and tapered gradually. I bucked it in 14 inch lengths. I could get about an hour of cutting using both batteries. Considering much of those cuts were deeper than the bar length (18 inch bar) the saw performed really well. I did manage to wreck the first chain when I had to cut too close to the ground next to the roots. That's when I realized the chains for this saw are two to three times the price of any other 18 inch bar chainsaws. I ordered the new chain and it lasted through 90 feet of cutting, so they are good quality - just expensive. ... show more

  • Expensive replacement chain!! And parts
This chainsaw worked amazing, but what they fail to tell you is the replacement chain for the 18 inch Oregon nanospeed bar is basically impossible to find and is priced over 60.00 on their website if you need a replacement. I can buy chains for a third of that price for other chainsaws. I called their representative and was given a 20% discount code like that would even put the chain close to the price of a normal chain. I wish I’d known this small but very important detail before I bought this chainsaw or before I used it ( we’re dealing with hurricane trees) or I would not have bought it or would have sent it back before it was used. Seriously a chain the price of 1/4th the cost of the chainsaw is crazy. ... show more

  • BEWARE.. Updated!!
I love the saw, good run time, quick enough recharge. However - THERE ARE NO CHAINS AVAILABLE. Except directly from Senix at $60. SIXTY BUCKS PER CHAIN. I should have bought a similar saw with 16" bar...... I FOUND A WORK AROUND... HVE144359 Forester Laminated Professional Chain Saw Bar 14" .325 .043 59DL about $34 243SC-59E Forester Non-Safety Semi-Chisel Chain Saw Chain - .325" - .043 about $14 You will need to machine the chain adjust hole in the new bar.. I used a 1/4 inch drill bit and applied downward pressure in the hole to take off just a couple hundredths of an inch to allow the chain adj pin on the saw to fit. Added benefit: saw operates even better with the 14" bar and chain! Longer battery life - easier on the saw too. When needed I can switch back to the stock 18" bar and chain... So far the 14 does 99% of what i do. These are the only parts I have found that can be made to work.... aside from paying $60 for the OEM chain. Again, I love the saw - I've cut well over a cord with it so far (9 more to go for this year).. ... show more

  • Works as advertised, so far.
I like the chainsaw. My only concern is I can't find a replacement chain. It is an Oregon 18"Bar and chain, but the Oregon site doesn't seem to have the same size and type chain. Frustrating!

  • Best tool in the shed
SENIX X6 60 Volt Max* 18-inch Cordless Chainsaw with Brushless Motor and Oregon Bar is a lot of power and great length of the bar. The battery is very strong. Lasts a good long time without needing a recharge. Very easy to use. We also have some other Senix battery tools and we both love them. The battery tools are so easy to start, no mixing gas and chemicals and no need to be pulling on the rip cord until you need to fall over. It starts right up and is ready to go. Love it. ... show more
