I have tried a number of Cordless chainsaws of various sizes and brands, and although many of them were convenient, none of them were a replacement for may gas powered chainsaw... that is until now! The Senix X6 has thoroughly impressed me. That isn't to say there isn't still a need for a gas-powered chainsaw, but for 90% of a homeowner needs, or light commercial use, the X6 is probably more than enough to get the job done, and far more convenient and user friendly. There are so many things I like about this saw I almost don't know where to start... I guess I will start with the quality. The X6 seems to be very well made, with high quality materials including an Oregon bar and chain, a highly respected brand in power equipment. Although that doesn't necessarily mean the chainsaw is good, it does show an attention to detail that offers confidence in the materials used. The design is very well thought out and exceeds my gas chainsaw in many ways. From the tool free chain tensioner to windowed bar oil reservoir, the X6 is just very user friendly. Not to mention how easy it is to change the battery, just press the release button and it slides out from the left side easily. There is an eco-mode available at the press of a button to conserve battery and extend run time when working on less demanding cuts like small limbs, and just as easily switches back to full power for more demanding cuts, or felling trees. The chain speed in full power mode seems very high, and cutting power seems on par with my gas chainsaw, though it should be noted that my gas saw is a 14" bar saw and the X6 has an 18" bar. Still, the cutting power surprised me, and I haven't run into anything I couldn't cut yet including taking down a diseased 12" oak tree. The saw comes complete with a 4Ah battery that provides good run time, and in my case, it lasted long enough to dull the chain before it needed to be recharged. Also included is a fast charger that charges the battery quickly and seems to maintain the charge without overcharging. From a quality-of-life perspective, it easy to use, quiet and very convenient. No mixing oil and gas, no need for ear plugs, no tools to tighten the chain, no worries about draining the tank when not in use, just press the trigger and it runs: something that isn't always true of my gas power equipment especially the stuff that doesn't get frequent use like the chainsaw. If I have any complaints, it is the weight which is a bit heavier than I expected, and the cost of replacement batteries which are about 2/3rds the cost of the saw with battery and charger at the time of this review. Although it is a bit heavy the weight isn't unmanageable, and probably about on par with a gas chainsaw of a comparable size. Overall, I really like the X6 cordless chainsaw, and my gas saw will likely not see much use now; the X6 is just so much more user friendly and convenient to use. If the batteries were less expensive it would be just about perfect for homeowners and light commercial use. 5 stars, easily recommended for all but the most demanding use cases. ... show more

I think I'm done with gasoline powered chainsaws. They are messy and never quite run right at altitude. This "SENIX X6 60V" chainsaw has been a good replacement to my Husky 18". They are about the same weight (I was hoping electric would be lighter -- but that battery is BIG and heavy!). A couple of things I like most: 1. Plenty of power for cutting down pine trees 2. Completely tool-less! You can easily tighten the chain, and even remove it completely, without a single tool! 3. Storage case includes an oil drip tray -- very clever and has prevented a wet bottom mess. 4. Quiet! I can actually hear what's going on around me when using this chainsaw There's not much to dislike, but I guess I would give you these 3: 1. No bar oil included -- make sure you add before your first use. 2. It is a bit heavier than I was hoping. About as heavy as my gas 18" saw 3. Only one battery included, and batteries are expensive! I did end up ordering another battery, but that battery was more than half of the cost of this chainsaw+battery. ... show more

    • Heavier than you think. Availability of bar and chain.
I was astounded at the size of the 4 amphour battery, which slides in from the left side of the saw. Although listing illustration states the saw is only 9 lbs, I assume that is without the bar, chain or oil. I get 11 lbs with those three necessary items. Ready to use I get 15.4 pounds. Oil isn't included, which anyone who has used a chainsaw knows. The automatic oiler works well. Chain tension adjustment is beautiful, with no tools needed. I would prefer if the trigger safety stuck up a little more as it's below surface level normally. You kind of use your thumb to push the button in further to use the trigger. The huge button on the battery is a charge status indicator that reminds me of "Kit" in "Knight Rider", but white. Take care that the battery is firmly in to a click as it can slide out or not make connection. I did not find the bar or chain available on Amazon, though as an Oregon they're probably available locally. This chainsaw is impressive! ... show more

    • Best electric chainsaw out!
If you're like me you've probably used a few electric chainsaws and never really liked them, mainly due to power, or that the battery would deplete to fast to be useful. Well, I'm glad to say that's not the case with this Senix X6 chainsaw! It has the power you need, and the battery life to keep going! I'm beyond impressed with this chainsaw! Quality is top notch! I'm coming from a 60v DeWalt chainsaw, and it doesn't come close to as good as this X6 Senix one! I highly recommend it; you won't regret it! ... show more

This chainsaw is great for gardening and small construction purposes. While it's a great tool. it is also very dangerous. Please be very careful with this as it is lightweight and very sharp. I can see it taking off a finger if not used with caution. Otherwise it's very powerful and stays charged for a long period of time. It would also make a great Dad or Hubby gift. :) ... show more

    • Great cordless chainsaw
I'm pretty invested in the Greenworks line of yard tools, so I was a bit hesitant to get another line, but I borrowed a Greenworks chainsaw and it just didn't work very well for me. This one has more power and is works great. Its not too heavy even for using it for over half an hour. The battery seems solid and charges pretty quick. This set has everything you need in the box, and is pretty easy to use even if you haven't used a chainsaw before. I can definitely say I recommend this tool, and I'm gonna be on the lookout to pick up some more Senix tools because I'm really impressed by this. ... show more
