I am sorry to say that I have started a return with Amazon for this item. This model is equipped with self-propel, but when you depress the appropriate lever- it does NOT engage self-propel. *Note: I experienced this issue directly out of the box and within the 30 day Amazon return policy. If you order this- please assemble and test it promptly, as I am not sure what would happen to you after the 30 day return window. I’d personally recommend that you just have a go with an on-site big box store, or your local hardware guys, because this item is very heavy and will be quite an inconvenience/embarrassment to return via Amazon’s return options. (Not to mention the need to drain/waste fuel and oil).) I am highly disappointed. ... show more

Ones with everything except fuel of course to start using. Easy assembly. Large collection bag to mow longer. Comes with side shield to blow grass to the side instead of collecting in bag. You can use without bag or side shield to use as a mulcher for thickets. Overall great buy! No prime no choke. About 5 pulls on first start after assembly. Usually takes 3 after that.     • Didn't meet expectations - Mostly because of the engine choice

Mower Pros: Easy assembly – just fold out the handle and use the large orange fasteners to clamp on the bolt. Solid steel deck with a deck washout quick connect. Both deck and handle seemed to be made from steel thick enough to last many years. Easy height adjustment – this was important to me because we have two different grasses which require different cutting heights. Cons: Speed control handle range too far. Hard to slow down without completely releasing the handle. Felt like I had to try to keep a hold on it and that caused me to always carry a little forward motion, which felt unsafe. Front and rear axle widths are different. The left side of the mower has the wheels aligned but the right side has them offset. This seemed to cause a “row” of uncut grass to appear every time I’d reverse direction. Now, I think it was just the two different tire marks. Also made it difficult to clear objects until I figured out that on the right side you can’t guide off the front wheel. Engine Pros: Lots of horsepower. No trouble mulching a slightly overgrown yard since I couldn’t cut it until this mower arrived! Good mulching capability with the blade supplied. Even with the extra height, the clippings were shredded and dropped to the ground – didn’t sit on top of the grass. Cons: I didn’t like this engine at all. In the past, I’ve had pretty good luck with Briggs & Stratton. This one seemed to “fuel starve” both on a hill and sometimes in a rapid turn. The engine would cut out and struggle to keep running. I thought I wasn’t holding the “safety” lever tight enough and found myself struggling with that. It seemed to run best with more than ½ tank of fuel. Then, I could typically cut both directions on our slight hill. I’m pretty sure this is a problem with the engine/fuel tank design. This was the second mower I tried with the exact same engine, and both behaved the same. Supplier: I reported my problem to the seller. They approved the return and helped me get the rather large box back to them. I’d order from this company again; it wasn’t their fault the product performed below expectations. ... show more

I wanted to use it for a few months before leaving a review. This mower punches well above others at this cost. It’ll cut through 6 inch high florida summer grass like it’s nothing. It’s very fast so it might tug you along, if you’re not used to it. Very reliable, efficient on gas, very powerful.

When I received the mower, the plastic piece on the front was completely broken off. The company was very good about replacing that part for me, but by the time that had been taken care of my return window was closed. I was then able to use the mower. The padding on the handle ripped the first time that I used the mower. The second time that I used the mower, the rubber around the bag came off and the engine started cutting out. Right out of the box, the height adjustment lever wouldn't lock into position. The lever just slips out of place and lowers the lawn mower to about 1/2" height. I've had to rig it to keep it in place. I've cut the lawn maybe 4 or 5 times, and already I have doubts about it starting on the first pull. Not to mention it's already sputtering a little bit and has a loud tick with every stroke like a rod is knocking. And I notice this product has been taken off the market and there is no user manual or support for it. I insisted on gas-powered, self propelled, and a wide deck. I needed a lawn mower immediately so I rolled the dice and spent $500.00 on this-- I guess the next lawn mower which I predict will have to be purchased in a couple of seasons, will be electric. With the necessary spare battery I guess that will cost me close to a grand. Not filled with joy at the moment. I am reminded this lawnmower is assembled where labor is very cheap. So I guess Senix got what they paid for. But I sure didn't. ... show more
