Size: 62in selfie stick
The design of this tripod/selfie stick is pretty good. The small size makes it very portable without that inconvenience of carrying camera gear around. The small size also allows it to remain attached to a camera, so it's ready to use without reattaching the camera each time. When I go out with my camera, I attach the camera to the stick and place the camera into a coat pocket. The feet of the tripod stick out, but since the camera and head are much heavier, they remain in my coat pocket. This is key, as it makes it very portable and allows me to be ready for action. Having the built-in tripod is great for putting the camera down on a table or something else. I wouldn't use the tripod with the selfie stick fully extended unless you're certain the camera won't fall over, or you have a rugged camera like a GoPro. Construction quality is "okay". I wish it were built just a bit sturdier for higher price. It would be nice for the ball head to be a bit bigger, so it could better handle the weight of a heavy point-and-shoot without slipping. It holds pretty well, but it's easy to get it to slip. The ball and 1/4" screw are made of steel (I think), so they likely won't break. The housing for the ball head seems plastic, so with cranking down the tightening screw to prevent slip, there's a chance the ball head housing could break. I modified mine a bit. I found that the remote control on the top leg made it a bit uncomfortable to hold. So, I popped off the bottom cap on the tripod's extension tubes, rotated one of the tubes 180 degrees, and re-attached the end cap. So, now the remote control is on the bottom side of the grip instead of the top. This makes it more comfortable to hold. I can't provide feedback on the remote itself, as I'm using this with a point-and-shoot camera, where the remote is not compatible (no Bluetooth on the camera). I wish the remote and its housing could be removed from the tripod leg altogether, but the housing for the remote is molded into the leg (not removable). Overall, this is a great selfie stick, especially for the cost. I took off one star because quality could be a bit better and the design could use some improvement for comfort and adaptability. ... show more
