My cat so loves this cat bed! It really does reflect heat back as the thermal layer is whisper quiet and has a moderate fluffy side and flip it over to a smooth side. My kitty was on this mat in about 1.5 seconds after I put it out for her. In 3 seconds she lay down on it, and then she snuggled her face in it before I could even center the camera. It is SO soft and warm! She has arthritis and loves a heating pad, but I think this is safer for long term and unsupervised use. As advertised, it doesn't have the "crunchy" sound that some cats find disturbing. One problem with this mat; the loops that make up the soft topside catch in her claws and sometimes pull completely out of the fabric. If she ever needed another one, I'd probably buy this one again because she loves it so much. ... show more

Very thin, lightly padded, but this is what I wanted and expected. I am using it as an addition to a "summer" bed, on top of it to increase the warmth level during the winter. It has a type of foil fabric on the inside which traps the pet's own body warmth when they lie on it, so it's not too hot. The cover zips off to wash. Very soft. Love that it's washable. My kitty naps on it every day since it arrived. Appears well made and has no slip bottom. 4/5 stars only because price seems a bit high for the size. Product is very nice.

The feral kitty named Dad digs this over all his options. Setting up a tiny condo bed and breakfast village up on the porch. With indoor and outdoor sleeping accommodation's. Figuring out what the handful of feral felines enjoys most. This pad scores a big win. They have different style houses. Homemade and bought. Dad did like one tiny bought house, but changed his mind. Spends most of his time day or night warming on this faux fur comfy bed. I’m adding and changing options when something isn’t a win. So far of the few friends who visit this wins over houses and other options like wool blanket and floofy rug. Dad’s happy with the purchase. The other kitties prefer the wool blanket. Not much house action, yet. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💯🏆 /\ update Setting up a kitty cold weather village for a few feral friends noticed hanging out on the porch. At night with the camera set up found four in what is likely a colony. After studying TNR am working on this. Gave them names. Having a blast making different set ups based on their behavior for preference. Like, they don’t always sleep inside the condo, or highly insulated whiskey barrel using a sun zero repurposed sleeping bag with a broke zipper, Temperpedic cushion base, and faux fur Amazon hoody that’s incredibly warm for a bed. I’ve made it a game to see what I can come up with to try and see what they think. Including some purchases like this one as I noticed they often prefer sleeping on the wicker couch cushion. This self heating faux fur pad is on their favorite cushioned wicker chair. Fits perfect to size. I like it. Hoping they do, too. Spray with IGR inhibitor flea spray by Adam’s to deter eggs that might hatch from maturing. Killing the flea cycle. Plus, occasionally adding cap star to their food and when TNR will clean them up if able when they get spay and health care. We have a great program locally. Have purchased many pads and beds for my cat only to give them away because he would not use them. This one works for him. Don’t know why he likes it but I like it because the size is right, it seems soft, and it is not noisy. Have not washed it yet so we will find out in a short while if it holds up. Waited for cold weather to write a review. This actually gets quite warm and cats and dog love it. The fabric on top seems to be very appealing to them also. Well made and easy zip off cover to wash.
