The fireplace itself it beautiful. I’ve wanted one for a long time but we are in a rental and comfortable so this was the best option. Pros: easy to assemble. Decently sized. Beautiful. Cons: It came damaged. The corner was scuffed and the mantle has a crack in it. We are going to attempt to fix it bc it would be too much of a pain to try and switch it out. It’s very heavy and came in two boxes. It was packaged nicely so I don’t see how the damage happened but I figured this might happen in shipping. If it happened to me it very well might happen to you. Second thing- it has a very strange almost chemical smell that hasn’t worn off since putting it together. I’ve wiped it down but I’m pretty sure the scent is coming from the heater portion. It doesn’t smell burnt but it’s definitely strong. ... show more

The paint had purple stripes in it. Contacted the seller and was told I would be contacted to negotiate a resolution. Never was contacted but received replacement parts which also did not match in color. After running the fireplace several times, it began beeping and would not stop pulled unless away from the wall to access the cord and unplug it. After plugging it back in, it works again, but this strange phenomenon continues to happen over and over again. The manual states nothing about the matter. ... show more

Couldn't be happier with this electric fireplace and mantel. Our only issue was that the description said "no assembly required" and there was definitely assembly required...about 45 minutes of it. But it went together quite nicely and we are very pleased with the finished product!
