🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The reviews for the electric kick scooter strongly suggest it is a durable and efficient method of transportation for short commutes, boasting an impressive range and uphill performance. The non-puncture tires and shock absorbers provide a comfortable and worry-free ride, while the scooter's portability and customizable braking system cater to varying user preferences. Its ability to maintain high battery levels, the ease of folding and carrying, and customizable lights for nighttime visibility stand out as substantial benefits. The app connectivity allows for additional customization and tracking of usage, further enhancing the user experience.

Pros

  • 🔋 Impressive battery life, capable of over 10 miles on a single charge
  • ⚙️ Customizable braking via the app and a dual braking system
  • 👍 Non-puncture tires and shock absorbers for a smoother ride
  • 🌆 Good uphill performance and equipped with lights for nighttime safety
  • 📱 App connectivity for tracking miles and customization
  • 🚗 Easily fits in car trunks, excellent portability with folding mechanism

Cons

  • ⚖️ At 40 pounds, it may be heavy for some to carry
  • 📉 Some users report the app is not user-friendly
  • 🛣️ Solid tires and no suspension can result in a rougher ride on uneven surfaces
  • 💰 Add-on battery is considered expensive
  • ◾ Limited speed and battery life can be restrictive for longer or more demanding commutes

Should I Buy It?

If you're looking for a reliable and fun way to commute short distances, this electric kick scooter may be an excellent investment. Its durable design, ease of use, and efficient performance outweigh the minor drawbacks such as weight and app usability. Adjust your expectations to its range and know that if your commute involves rougher terrains, the ride could be less comfortable without suspension. However, for city commutes and those seeking a robust, eco-friendly travel option, it's a resounding yes.

  • very good product,
Style: E22
five star review, in fact, technically I would give it a 4.9, not great at climbing, extremely big hills as someone who is over the body weight limit. I am way over the limit but I’m really tall so that makes up for it like I hope you’re not thinking I’m short and fat, I’m a big Pacific Islander, who doesn’t wanna walk to Class so instead, I scooter there in style, with one charge I’ve gotten some crazy distance, I use it sometimes when I’m not going to class to go from my college campus into the city on a highway and it freaking gets there, I’ve used it to make trips to the liquor store because Mom has got to get her nips on, and without a doubt, it’s a great product theory, sturdy and if you want, which is something that I’m thinking about because I don’t see on the app for you to track where your scooter is located, I’m thinking about putting an Apple AirTag inside of the handlebars when you screw it together . It took absolutely no time at all to put this thing together and charge it, it came with a bell which is not very loud but it works. Every single day I use this product I go over big bumps and giant cracks, and it just takes it. She is baby, and she is nice. I’ve owned it for almost a month now and I’m extremely happy. ... show more

  • Awesome, but a bit heavy if you plan on commuting
Style: E22
Don't be fooled by the picture of someone holding it with one hand, this thing is 50 pounds. I probably wouldn't try getting onto a crowded train or bus with it. However it's insanely easy to learn as a first timer, and is pretty fun.

  • Great for beginners
Style: E22
This has proven to be perfect for my needs, just what I was hoping for. Now I can ride through the city for 1.3 miles into work in around 10 mins and avoid paying for parking. Easy to fold, but it is a bit big and heavy for me to carry although I'm short. Doesn't stop me though and it is definitely fun. Picks up speed very quickly and handles inclines and bumps and cracks well. Most of my ride is flat, but I have a steep driveway and it handles fine, but slows down to climb. I maintain the max 20mph at pretty much at all times and it feels both quick, but also safe. I accidentally ran over glass 2 days in a row and it had no effect on my tires. Also fits in the trunk of my smallish car perfectly! Love the grippy board that you stand on, it feels wide and sturdy and the whole thing feels of great durable quality overall. Fun fun fun!! ... show more

  • Overall Good
Style: E22
This actually might be my second review, but I have used this scooter for a while. I really deserves a review with the good and the not so good. The good first. Lightweight, folds easily, fits in the back or trunk of almost any car, has a headlight and side red lights, charges in a few hours, solid rubber tires mean no flats, display easy to read, wide foot platform for a small scooter. Nicely built and solid. The not so good. The app is not very user friendly, scooter struggles on hills, battery life is not very good and the add on battery is expensive, rough ride from the solid tires and no suspension. Conclusion. Let's face it, this is not a $1500 scooter (or more). It is really not designed for rigorous commuting more than a mile or two each way on pretty flat ground. After maximizing on the App., the top speed is 20 MPH on flat or downhill. The compromises in power, battery life, ride come with the lower price tag. When you get the App working. I highly recommend you activate maximum performance. Also, out of the box the scooter must be going 3 to 5 MPH for the power to kick in. Highly recommend you change this to zero or .5 MPH using the App. I would think everyone would want the scooter to provide power from a standstill. Almost returned the scooter until I figured this out with the App. Hope this helps. ... show more

  • A great way to commute daily
Style: E22
It's just as powerful as Unagi. Low cost and power packed features with this scooter. The app is a little bit glitchy but rest is perfect for my daily routine. A beast for the money spent.

  • NEVER Segway again!
Style: E22
The media could not be loaded. After just 3 months after purchasing this 9bot, the internal bolt came lose (see video) this is not something that can be tightened by the user (Poor design). It’s bad enough that I lost confidence in this product due to malfunctioning so soon (will it last a few years, hmmm) Nothing I can fix myself? What happens if I need future repairs or parts? NEVER AGAIN. Customer service is horrible. I started the process to have the scooter sent out for repairs, I had to wait over 2 weeks to get the shipping label. Then I didn’t have a box to ship it in. I live in a small place, could not keep the box and after 3 months I discarded the box as I did not expect this product would break so quickly. I am disabled and use the scooter to help. With that said I looked EVERYWHERE for a suitable box. No luck, I got tired of people being rude to me for simply asking for a box as well it was painful and inconvenient to go all over the place. I asked Segway if they would cover the cost of Fed-ex packing the item for me as it would cost me out of pocket to do so. They said NO. I asked them to mail me a box, they said no. ONLY after I threatened to sue them so I can have the item forcefully returned did they agree to send a box, not to mention that when I spoke to them, the support agent lied and said I was offered a box and refused it, preferring a lawsuit. I told him send the box and we’re good. It’s over a month, no scooter box despite follow ups requesting an update, and by time one arrives, summer is over. I cannot believe a company with a strong brand name such as this in the end is a completely unreliable company and unless under threat via gun point I will never buy ANY Segway product and will actively recommend that everyone use an alternative and more professional company that has more reliable products and customer service. Still waiting on this box by the way… Consider this, things break down. If you’re lucky and have a great product then good, if and when it breaks then are you ok with paying 1/4 the cost of your scooter or more to ship it back because there are no places near you. Are you ok with adding on the repair cost yourself should it be out of warranty? Are you ok with waiting 2 months or more? Are you fine with curt representatives that are unwilling to own their issues or accommodate you? If yes then go on and buy it. If you can do better then I suggest you go with a brand that thinks YOU are important and will stand by their product. You have read the reviews, your time and money should mean something, when a company says “Sorry for the inconvenience” I expect actions to reflect “Sorry”. You will not get your time back, your money or your inconvenience placated…Go on and take a chance, it is up to you… ... show more
