I started using this shampoo when I began transitioning from dyed to natural gray hair over 2 years ago. I have fine, slightly wavy, low porosity hair. This lathers well with a small amount of shampoo - about a teaspoon on shoulder length, medium density hair. It’s expensive, so I stock up at Black Friday time when you can buy it 40% off. I have also tried just about every other product SEEN makes. The hair conditioners do not condition enough for me. The curly hair cream has zero hold. The blow dry cream makes no difference. The hair oil is nothing special over just using a generic lightweight oil. (For a conditioner, I order EcoSlay banana creme as my everyday conditioner.) I do not experience hair loss with this product, but also do NOT believe it helps with hair growth either. If you read their clinical study, it was a very small group, funded by SEEN of participants that had existing hair loss. BTW: I clarify my hair once a month and deep condition it once a week. I bought this product because my scalp was constantly itchy and dry. I have tried various dry scalp shampoos, dandruff shampoos and coal tar products hoping to find relief, but nothing worked. After a week of use, my skin feels relieved; not only is the itchiness gone, but my skin is no longer white and chalky. An added benefit is my hair feels so soft and I seem to be losing less hair. Love this shampoo and conditioner. It is smooth, cleans well and is made in the US. Only downside is that it is a bit expensive. I also wish it used organic ingredients. I have very sensitive skin so I need a sulfate & fragrance free shampoo. I’ve just started using SEEN shampoo and I love it. A little bit goes a long way. Luxurious lather. It makes my partially grey thin hair feel fabulous, smooth, full, manageable. Skin seems to be ok and not irritated. I don’t need a conditioner when using this shampoo but now I’m curious about adding it to my routine. EWG rating is a 2 which is really good. ... show more

I appreciate the shampoo for not irritating my scalp psoriasis or irritated skin. It rates high on sites that help with skin conditions. But it was not moisturizing and left my hair dry and straw like. I even tried conditioners but I could not tame my hair. I would love a version with more moisture.

I gave this 5 stars because it technically does what it says… it doesn’t clog my pores and all the bumps I had on my face and body from my previous shampoo/conditioner went away. It smells great and lathers and rinses great HOWEVER, it made my hair fall out in CLUMPS. I have fine textured, extremely healthy, wavy hair that I don’t use product on or heat style at all. I usually wash and go and my hair dries smooth and wavy. After using this shampoo (and conditioner) my hair is uncharacteristically frizzy and I can hear it breaking at the slightest tug. When I shower and run my hands through my hair it feels like straw and LITERAL handfuls of hair come out. So, while my skin has never looked better, my hair has for sure. I don’t think it’s too much to ask to have healthy hair and skin!!! I’ll be trying other products, I guess! ... show more
