The old heated blanket also had inconsistent heating, the heat button could be easily pressed inadvertently, and it had no timer. It is more expensive than many other heated blankets Ive looked at, but I think it’s worth the price! Sealy is a well known, trusted brand that offers a warranty. It's been a cold winter and my space heater was just not cutting it, unless I kept it running all day. Decided to replace my old electric throw with this twin size blanket for curling up on the sofa and I couldn't be happier with it. Straight out the box it is so soft and cozy. It's lightweight and cozy on it's own. I ran it on a heat level of 3 and was satisfied, but wanted to feel cozier. At a 5, it was perfect. I imagine it would be ok even in a colder climate at higher levels. It's nice enough that I'm considering getting a queen size for my bed, so that I can be just as cozy when I crawl into bed, after a long shift. As a taller person, this is a huge improvement over the throw I had been using for a few years that had finally give up the ghost. I typically have had throws with simpler controls, but I do enjoy having the adjustable timer with this model. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this. No clue how it'll hold up to laundering, but so far the quality is wonderful and I love the color. ... show more

The quality is very good, it is soft and comfortable. The heat is evenly distributed and I like the ability to control the levels of heat and the active time. It works perfectly as I was looking for a throw rather than a traditional electric blanket. Highly recommend.

This is a nice, well made warming blanket and does a good job at that. Only issue, although perhaps minor, is that it warms only so much. Even set at its highest setting, it only gets marginally warm, warm enough to make it worth while, but certainly not to where you could say it gets toasty warm.
