  • Best Tricycle I've Ever Seen
Color: Blue Style: Classic Tricycle
Santa brought this for my Son on Christmas of 2009 (it is 16 months old, as of this writing). I've got to say, I'm extremely impressed with what Santa's elves have done here. This is, easily, the highest-quality, most well-made tricycle I have ever seen. Indeed, before seeing this with my own two eyes, I didn't know such a well-made tricycle even existed! Everything about this tricycle oozes quality and, a year and a half later, it is still going strong. To begin, the design of the trike is great. The smooth curves and retro styling make this really eye-catching. The paint, chrome, and trim are beautiful. The wooden, chrome-trimmed deck in back is a great touch which my son uses frequently to tote around toys, etc. The thick, fully-treaded, pneumatic tires are great and, after a year and a half of use, have not cracked or deflated in the slightest. Even the quality of the well-secured, fabric handlebar tassels is impressive. The inclusion of a steel handlebar bell is yet another nice touch. The low center of gravity makes this a supremely safe vehicle. Not only does it look cool, but I can't imagine this thing tipping over. As a matter of principal I still insist that my son wears a helmet, but that has more to do with me teaching him good safety habits than anything else because I doubt the helmet will ever have a chance to do its job. It's as if a steel-framed bicycle cross-bred with one of the "Big Wheels" we adults all loved as children. Please be aware that this tricycle is big and the reach from the seat to the pedals is far, even when the seat is adjusted to be as close to the pedals as possible. I'd say most kids can start using it around 2 1/2 years (sorry that's a little vague, but I'm not sure how to properly measure the seat/pedal distance and equate that to a precise height). The flip side of this is that it will last a long time (with regard to supporting your child's growth). When Santa brought this for my 22-month old, he could barely reach the pedals and he's always been quite tall for his age. For us, it was no problem though; he just scooted around on it until he could reach the pedals, which was easy given to the low profile. As far as I'm concerned, if you're in the market for a tricycle and your child is big enough to reach the pedals, there is simply nothing else worth considering. If your child is not quite big enough, but will be soon, I'd recommend you at least consider waiting so that you can purchase this tricycle rather than any other. Zero complaints. ... show more

  • Heirloom Quality - A REAL Classic!
Color: Blue Style: Classic Tricycle
Absolutely solid construction, heavier than others, and a low center of gravity. The trifecta of a good tricycle! This is the winner - stop searching Amazon. It's very easy to assemble it in minutes, as well! Here are some highlights: *Nice solid bucket seat with an easy grip handle for you to carry it around. The tricycle stays level when you lift it from the handle - no tilting to one side. It adjusts into several positions as he/she grows. *Excellent tires - they ride on everything: grass, rocks, brick, and probably even frozen tundra. *Solid wooden step-board, with branded logo is strong, sturdy, and makes the styling classic. *Plus, don't forget the hard chrome fenders to avoid tire burns, cool tassles, and solid-molded pedals. SUGGESTION ON HEIGHT: If your child is AT LEAST 35" tall, he/she should be able to pedal the tricycle. No doubt they LOVE to scoot around on it if they are shorter than that. But if you're buying this to pedal right away, then 35"+ should do it. The age doesn't really matter, but my child was 2y 1m old when he sat on it for the first time. You will love this tricycle! ... show more

  • Great sturdy trike!
Color: Blue Style: Classic Tricycle
I bought this trike after an epic fail with a balance bike. My 2-year-old son (26 months) is 37" tall and can just reach the pedals on this. He did not like his balance bike and kept asking for a bike with pedals. I think he will use it more next year, but for now I got him this because it doesn't seem as tippy as other "classic" trikes. The box says ages 2-4, but you better have a tall one! My son is the size of an average 3-year-old, and he can't get enough leverage to pedal. He can reach with the seat all the way forward, but he can't quite make the wheels turn on his own. This is a heavy trike, but it's very nice. My son should be able to ride this until he is at least 5. I have seen pictures of this rusted out and people complaining that it only lasted one season, but I think if you take care of it and don't leave it outside, it will last. I plan to bring ours inside for the winter and keep it in the garage in the summer. Assembly was easy and took me 20 minutes, including inflating all 3 tires. Overall, this is a cool-looking trike and my son loves it! ... show more

  • Great, sturdy trike.
Color: Blue Style: Classic Tricycle
We bought this for our almost 2 year old son and he's absolutely in love with it, to the point of constantly polishing the handles. Assembly was painless, the quality of the parts is good and most importantly, it seems to be great fun for the little customer. The roadster style frame makes for decent space between handle and seat and makes it very easy for the child to get on the trike without accidents. Another positive point is that it's relatively hard, but not impossible to trip. On a somewhat cautionary note: This is not a cheap plastic trike. The wheels have proper tires and that means it runs silent and fast. Training the user in the use of the attached bell is recommended to avoid stealth ambushes against your legs, but will also make the house much more noisy. Short: I really recommend it if you are looking for a sturdy, quality vehicle. ... show more
