Our family has had a very heavy duty Trek tricycle that lasted us through 3 of our 4 children. Unfortunately the wheels were plastic and eventually fell apart and we had to throw away the Tricycle. Therefore we have been looking for a good replacement for a few months now. The Schwinn tricycle seemed like a good option based on the specs that we were able to see on Amazon, however the negative reviews gave us pause and therefore we never went through (multiple times) with making the purchase. Finally because we were unable to find anything else comparable to what we had we pulled the trigger and purchased the Schwinn tricycle. I am so glad we did and should have the 1st time I went to purchase it. The bike is definitely heavy duty metal- that of what you would expect in a bike. So no, this bike is not super light but is also good because your children cannot easily tip it over and it will stand up to the beating many of these Tricycles will get while being used by young children.The wheels are rubber and are inflated with a standard bike pump and replaced like a normal bike tire with a tube which is definitely a plus in this bike which you don't always see another Tri cycles. The seat is extremely adjustable so my 16 Month old son and four-year-old daughter can both ride it with ease. In addition to being a quality and well constructed item it is also a very attractive looking bike and true to picture. the bell and streamers arecand added bonus and fun for the kids. If any of you are hesitant based on other reviews you have read I would disregard. Coming from a mom of 4 who has gone through for fair share of bikes and riding equipment this is definitely a quality product and I would not hesitate to buy it again. Personally, I would rather buy something of quality that I can had for years to com versus something super cheap that's going to just fall apart and end up in the trash in the next year like many of children's toys. I bought this for my grandson's 2nd birthday. Quality is nice. My son in law assembled it with no complaints. I purchased this because of the fact it’s a low rider and has a high back seat which makes it much safer for a child to ride. Most trikes tend to tip over too easily and don’t have a nice high back seat like this for safety. With that being said….my grandson just turned 2 and even tho the seat is adjustable to reach the peddles he is not quite big enough to ride it because he can’t reach them. So I think that this would be much better for a 3 year old or even 2 1/2 year old unless you have an over average tall child. Still love it tho and he will grow into it. I would definitely buy it again and will be doing so down the road for both another grandson and granddaughter. ... show more

We have had this trike for a few months now and my daughter loves it - she is turning 3 soon and she learned to pedal on this. We always get comments on the cool-looking bike, too. I think she got on before we fully tightened the nuts and we ended up losing a couple of screws and a bolt connecting the back to the main frame. I did not remember sizes, so contacted customer service for information - they mailed out the missing parts immediately and a few days later we had a safe bike again. Christmas gift for my son. Easy set up. Arrived on time. No damage. Very sturdy , solid tricycle. Adjustable seat is nice for different sizes and ages. The bell works nice. I can’t stand the streamers but they are always a kids favorite. It is heavy so not easy to flip. Will last my guy sometime before he out grows this one. ... show more

Got this nice Schwinn product at a good price. Husband assembled it easily, and I took it to almost-3 year old grandson. It was a huge hit, as you can see from the video! Seat and handlebars are adjustable. I expect it to hold up well and give him years of fun.

My toddler lives his first bike!! The bell is his favorite, but he loves to put his favorite stuffed bunny on the back! Seat is adjustable, id recommend for any 3-5 year old!

The bike itself is beautiful. There wasn't a scratch on it. Assembly was fairly simple for me, a grandmother. My grandson was thrilled with it, and although he's too little still, we can push him on it!! The issues I have: Apparently, the front wheels need to be filled with air, which means someone has to take it to a bike shop or gas station. In addition, there are no stem caps for after the wheels are filled. It would have been nice if the wheels came properly filled, with caps already on the stems. ... show more
