Description

From Schumacher’s line of wheel chargers, the SC1309 6-in-1 200A 6V/12V Wheeled Battery Charger and Engine Starter is built to meet heavy-duty charging needs. Suitable for a pro shop or a home garage, the charger has the power needed to start SUVs, trucks, and other large engines. It has a 200A engine start, a 40A boost mode for deeply discharged batteries, a 6A<>2A (12V) charge/maintain mode, and a 2A (6V) charge/maintain mode. Another pro feature is the built-in battery and alternator tester, which shows charge level and diagnoses electrical problems. Fully automatic, the SC1309 automatically detects the voltage of a connected battery and automatically adjusts the amperage rate during charging and maintaining. Multi-stage charging uses an advanced algorithm to deliver optimum charging and maintain battery health. A durable metal case ensures the SC1309 stands up to tough use and compact wheels and a retractable handle make for easy storage. Other features include a digital display, LED indicators, push-button controls, 8-gauge output cables, and color-coded, metal clamps. I bought this charger because I believe my new battery for my truck was dead. I let my truck sit for 4 months without driving. Opened the box, to find the product box, then pulled the unit out and lifted the handle. Plugged everything in after it was hooked up to my battery sitting on my deck. It took 5 hours to charge. Got the green light, then put my battery back into my truck. Truck still didnt start, but that has nothing to do with this charger. The charger did its job, plus it has multiple features and is a decent sturdy. Process of elimination to get my truck running again. I'm disappointed. I purchased this in 2021 and used it less than a dozen times. It will no longer turn on. Always kept in the garage. No water damage or any issues. Its just dead. Product came well packaged and on time (actually a day early but no complaints). Product has been used three to four times already successfully. I will say there was once while even boosting it couldn't jump my truck off. But in all fairness I don't use the truck much and it is an older battery.
