What a little handy thing. Small enough to slip into a bag or glove box, effortless enough to use when you really need it. Bought this for my 06 Dodge Grand Caravan and I’ve had to use it a few times over the winter now. Has yet to let me down. Uses USB C charging which is very convenient, and has enough charge to jump my van several times before needing to be charged. Battery lights are easy to read and bright. It also has accessory LED lights to see under the hood at night which is very helpful. I would say this is a great value for the money, as it works without issue any time you use it. The battery is cased in hard plastic which seems durable enough, and the battery jump cables are sturdy with good quality hinges. I just wish the jump cables were slightly longer. Many people probably buy a jump starter, toss it in their vehicle, and don't end up using it for quite some time. Perhaps by pure coincidence, I ended up running my battery down shortly after buying this NOCO and quickly got to test it out. Extensively. It turns out my battery was the 7 year old OEM model and losing all charge killed it completely. So, for a week or so I was resurrecting it 2-3 times a day to get to and from work. I can confidently say that this NOCO unit works well and very quickly. I was able to get my car moving many times before needing to be recharged. I also had the opportunity to use it to resuscitate a "bricked" Nissan Leaf, which required using the scary manual override button to get it to detect properly. I still don't really understand that feature, but it seems to have worked. My one complaint, after clamping onto the contacts so many times, is that the ridged plastic tips of the cable clamps chipped several times. I would suggest switching to a rubber-like material for the tips to avoid this from happening. Other than that, this is a great product. ... show more

What a great device! So easy to use. Just charge the battery about an hour, plug in the jumper cables to the battery, attach them to your battery and your up and running. If you only have one car this is great to have on hand. It's very compact so it doesn't take up a lot of space when storing. You can also use the battery to charge USB attached devices. When I first purchased this charger. I couldn’t give it a 5 star rating because I had not used it then. But now I can say this charger is very nice and it works great. I’ve used it twice on a 2.5 liter engine and once on a 3.5 liter engine with the batteries on all 3 vehicles being totally empty of any charge. I connected the NOCO, turned it on and hit the boot charge and all 3 cars started up and with no hesitation. I knew the NOCO still had much charging power left, but I just wanted to see how much power was drained from it. I connected the NOCO charger to my lap top and it was still full. I love this charger and with the NOCO carry case for it. It’s very convenient for storage and to carry around it I had to. The charger is heavy and appears to be well built.     • Nice Device But, Be Aware.
The unit is easy to use and it does the job. It charges quickly and it comes with an adapter for use in the car lighter. My only complaint (and my fault for not researching more carefully) is that the charge cable does not have a standard USB plug. The unit is designed to accept a USB plug that can then be connected to another device to be charged. However, to charge the unit itself requires an adapter that does not come standard with the package. All of may adapters could accept a standard USB plug only. This thing is amazing. I can't believe I hesitated to buy this product. Here is my story: This past Sunday I woke up to my 2014 BMW X5's flat battery. There was a cold snap and within a couple of days my battery was dead. The last time it was functional was Friday night. I called my auto shop on Monday and due to pretty much everyone in the area having dead batteries due to the cold snap, I couldn't get an appointment for a week. I didn't know if I should jump it, or call roadside assistance and drive it around to make sure the battery was fine before next Monday. Instead, I took a chance on this wonderful device. It came yesterday and I was already impressed with just the packaging. It's minimal, sturdy, and accurate. Straight to the point packaging. I opened it up, and started charging the remaining battery. Apparently, it comes 75% charged and you have to do the rest. I used a USB-C cable from my computer and charged it full within minutes. By the way, the USB slots on this device are USB-C. I've seen a few reviews say that it's MicroUSB. The one I purchased is USB-C which was another plus since you can use this to charge your phone. Fast forward to this morning. I let my car sit for another day, which I thought may have been a mistake. I went down to try to use this device to re-awaken my beast... his name is Benny. Benny the Beemer. Anyway... I attached the positive and negative clamps to the posts under my hood. For most BMW owners, those posts are connected directly to the battery which (in)conveniently is in the trunk behind a electrical trunk latch. BMW did a solid adding these posts under the hood so you didn't have to mess with the trunk release. I turned the device on and the light appeared, but the LED's for Boost weren't "chasing" as the manual says. I figured my battery was completely deceased and I would have to call for RA or a tow. I checked the manual again and I missed the spot called "Manual Override". Now, as a sci-fi geek, this intrigued me greatly. Manual Override you say? Yes, if your car has a completely flat battery, so flat that the device cannot detect that it's even connected to a battery, it will not function within the safety limits. Meaning the device doesn't know it's connected to a battery so it will not provide the 2A charge for safety reasons. That's what the Manual Override button is for. I love it. As soon as I pushed that button, the car came to life. It was like Frankenstein's monster. Everything negative turned positive (NPI). See, the Manual Override sends the 2A charge without verifying it's connected to a battery. This lifts the dead battery to at least 2A so you can try and start the car. The car came to life, the alarm started blaring so I jumped into the drivers seat, said a split second prayer to the car gods, and VROOOM! Benny was alive. This device is amazing. I will be buying one for everyone in my family. Everyone should have this device in their car. If it can bring back my 2.5T 11 year old 3.0L twin turbo beast, it can bring backs yours as well. This device can handle anything up to 6.0L for gas and 3.0L for diesel. Buy this now, especially if you live in colder climates. ... show more
