Our formerly cute little pond had turned disgusting-loaded with duck weed, sludge and muck. I bought this so I could drain the pond and start over. I am surprised at how well this pump worked in such awful conditions. I used it over the course of three days to pump out the pond. It was struggling by the end (likely getting clogged) but it got me to the end of the project. This pump is about the size of large Igloo cooler. It is not too heavy and is easily portable. We have an 18' pool and it took us about 36 hours to drain over about a day and half. It comes with two attachments, and best of all, we were able to attach our garden hose directly to the pump, and then to our sprinkler, and the power/pressure from the pump was enough to use the pool water to power the sprinkler, so that was definitely a plus. Worked brilliantly on the first try. Used it to pump out the water on my 500 gallon hot tub with stellar pressure and wasn’t noisy at all! Easy set up too. Connected my new 10 ft garden hose (don’t use expandable hose, won’t work) w the compatible attachment it comes with, dropped it in the water, plugged it in and out came the water w great performance! I purchased this about 8 month ago and on July of this year. It work okay with some minor issues such as debris being stuck. You need to clean debris by pulling the pump out of the water. It happened a few times, but no complaints. The pump work It completely stopped working on around June so I immediately bought a new one so my kois won't die. I called and wrote to the manufacturer. At first they told me they honor the agreement, but this turns into a long delay of writing back and forth. I am so frustrated by this delay so i decided to write to Amazon. When you buy something from amazon, they don't bother you why are returning this, but with this company. see below on the first time, I emailed them, got response and told me to send pictures of item to identify product They told me great, ask me if i want refund or product. I ask for a refund since I bought another one. A few days later, They sent me a email and ask me to take a picture of it beig plug? I had to take it out of my garage and took a video of the pump while being plug. I did that and was expecting a refund. No it did not happen A few days later, They sent me a email asking me to put the pump in the water and plug it to the wall. I have not done this yet cause, I need to take it out of my garage and start the video process again As you can see, this have been a very frustrating experience for me ... show more

Two of these saved my house from flooding out with Milton. They were running non-stop for 13hrs and never once got clogged or stopped. Do yourself a favor though and go to home Depot and make a 90° elbow out of PVC to screw onto the outlet. Then get some 2" hose for maximum outflow. They work perfectly. ... show more
