I double on many reed instruments in in the orchestra pit at our local college and this strap is excellent for that usage. The hook style is easy to remove quickly and re-attach when you are quickly changing from one sax to another. Also, the strap length is very easy to quickly adjust to different instruments. The padding is good and is OK even with my baritone sax for short playing times. Hate the straps that are woven like for a guitar and most are rainbow colors and my child is not into anything rainbow now that it represents ........ Some of the leather ones are too rough but do have some cushioning! This one is by far the best one yet! You get what you pay for. Constantly tangled (easily and very badly) over itself. Used most days for only 10 months and it finally failed on a gig - the string started to unravel. The next gig it would have broken apart and my saxophone would have hit the floor. Worth spending a bit more and getting something that will last. ... show more

13 yr old Grandson in TX loves Music. In band he played Alto SAX. His Instructor gave him a Tenor SAX which a Lot Bigger. His other strap wouldn't hold Tenor tight enough. Now he has one for each. Brother is Aiming for Brass Captain in HS he plays Trump, learning Sax from his younger brother. Now ants a Trombone. That would get him to Brass + Captian. ... show more
