She had to wear it day and night for 10 days. I hand washed and low heat dried it 4x and it washes and dries like a dream. Lightweight and very soft. She likes wearing it because it keeps the threads from her sutures on her back from poking her. I highly recommend these little recovery suits. This was great for my guy after his neuter. It kept him from licking, and fit tight enough that he couldn’t worm out of it. The only reason for 4 stars is the snaps on the back. Very small and somewhat tedious to snap.

I bought a few different suits and this one is the best. The other suit rubbed against the place she was cut and made it really red. This looks like a little onesie. Doesn’t rub and stays on better than the other suits I bought. I wanted comfort so she could rest and heal. Her wound after surgery 5 days later looks great and has scabbed over nicely even under the suit. It still has room for air and keeps the incision area clean. My pup had a spay done and it was so easy for her to go potty in the outfit. As a suggestion, if your dog has long hair, take off the suit once a day to brush them otherwise you will get mats.
