Our dog needed her glands done every 7 weeks like clockwork. I gave these chews a try and assumed they would never work. I cannot believe the excellent result. 1 chew per day consistently with dinner. We are now a solid 2 months past our last visit to the ass groomer. That’s at least 2 gland cleanings, maybe 3. I check her butt almost daily for the unmistakable heinous stank, just waiting for this to all fall apart, but the problem appears to be permanently fixed. Can’t believe it. Appears to be just a big dose of fiber. No side effects or stomach problems and a huge difference in our dog’s comfort back there. No licking, no fussing. No change in poops I don’t think, maybe a bit larger than norm?? Assuming this is not some weird coincidence, I’ll use these chews forever. ... show more

This is an excellent product. I am very pleased with how it’s helped my dog. However, go to your local pet store to get it. The vendor Amazon is using can’t get this out in a timely manner. I ordered it 3 weeks ago and I have received three “delayed shipping “ notices. They already took the money out of my account. Won’t let me cancel the order. Our 20 pound terrier mix needed monthly vet visits to have his glands expressed. The last visit was horrible because he was so impacted they had to anesthetize him to surgically clean out one of the glands. The vet (who was newly added to the staff) recommended Glandex chews saying a lot of her clients swore by them. I was skeptical but IT WORKS! We took our dog back to the vet 5 weeks after surgery for a re-check and THERE WAS NOTHING THERE TO BE EXPRESSED! I couldn't believe it! We buy the Duck flavor and I hide half of one in his dinner because he won't eat it as a treat. Get these. They were a life changer for my pup. I used to have to take her to get her glands expressed every 3 months or so. Since starting these, we haven’t had to go back. We are about a year in now. So they definitely make a difference!

My cattle dog was having problems with needing her anal glands secreted regularly. I was always at the vet and anytime she was frightened she'd leave a stench. So far no scooting or smells. She loves eating them and thinks they are treat.

Gave it four stars because at least she can poop now without too much straining but she still scoots her butt on the carpet. Haven't found anything else that would help her.
