Totally portable, and simple to use, the Unique mount traps from Saris are made for securing your bike to your truck bed or SUV tie-downs, wherever you have room. Incredibly versatile, this 9mm standard sized quick release skewer can be mounted on any flat surface. Just remove your front wheel, attach the forks, and your on your way. Made with a 6061-T6 powder coated aluminum base that makes these traps both lightweight and strong with coated nut housing and quick release level for tool-less installation. I have a total of 4 of these. Two are over 10 years old. I just purchased two new ones. They mount perfectly on a vertical 2x6 (think: skinny side) that slides into grooves in the bed of my pick-up. Cheap, easy solution for hauling bikes.

    • Excellent bike rack solution for bikes on top of a truck bed cover.
I bought three of these, mounted on a Saris single track mount. This is mounted on top of a Backflip truck bed cover. The hardware came in the package with the single track mount, not the fork mount traps. The whole package makes a very affordable bike mount solution that can be mounted to the top of a truck bed cover and still allows the cover to open, only the bikes need to be removed, not the entire bike rack. The bolts supplied with the single track mount were the perfect length for the thickness of the Backflip cover. A cable lock through the fork mount trap is all that's needed for good basic bike security. For added security we just bungy the back wheels together to form a triangle, nothing else is needed. ... show more
