This sand scoop is sturdy. The welds are complete and finished in a surprisingly smooth fashion. It digs in sand with ease and has holes that allow the sand to flow easily out and capture coins, bottle caps, and other finds with ease. Over all its a good durable scoop. The biggest negative is that the rubber handle slips off super easy which significant makes things harder. Since the handle faces up, when you come up with a big scoop of sand the weight wants to pull the scoop out of the rubber grip. I'm not sure how I will "permanently" secure the rubber yet, but other than that it's a quality and affordable product ... show more

My only complaint is that I didn't receive the screw and bolt in the package. Other than that I know I'm going to have a lot of fun using this product. It is very well made, thick and sturdy. Can't wait to get to the beach.
