Features

  • Best of both worlds: professional handheld dynamic microphone with USB digital output for connecting to a computer and XLR analog output for connecting to a mixer, audio interface or portable PA system
  • Sound your best: dynamic microphone capsule with a cardioid pickup pattern captures sound from in front of the microphone and less from the side and rear, minimizing ambient sounds and other room noises for podcasting, home recording or voiceover work. It also reduces possible feedback in live performance settings
  • Hear the mix: onboard 1/8" (3. 5mm) headphone jack allows for zero-latency monitoring, so you can hear yourself without any delay or echo, plus a mix of your computer audio playback. Solid, die-cast construction with heavy gauge mesh grille
  • Start Recording: The Q2U is a plug-and-play device, meaning it doesnt need any special drivers to work with your computer. Just connect the microphone to your computer, launch your favorite audio software, and start recording.
  • Its All in the Box: The Q2U Recording and Podcasting Pack includes everything you need to start recording great sounding projects: an extended desktop stand with mic clip that positions the microphone close to the sound source, a pop-filter for reducing p-pops, and USB and XLR cables.

  • Good for its price
Style: Q2U Gray
I have used this for streams, recordings, and Foley work. This mic is decent in an acoustically suitable environment. The cardioid polar pattern is nice. It picks up my voice and disregards other sounds that are in its dead zone. The only variable I had to account for was subtle background noise, like an oscillating fan, or keyboard clicks that bled in whenever my voice was being picked up. This was an easy fix by using some effects to alleviate unwanted variables. (i.e. Noise Suppression) The cover for the head that is supposed to help with plosives (annunciations that can ‘pop’ in the listeners ears) works okay. If I were recording for money, I would want a pop filter and better equipment. The equipment is lightweight, the stand is stable, and it stores easy! If you’re looking for a beginner, low-budget mic, I recommend this one. I’ve had it for years and it’s still working well! ... show more

  • perfect sound quality
Style: Q2U Gray+ Arm + Pop Filter Kit
I recently purchased this Pac and I could not say enough good things about it. It included everything I needed to get started and the sound quality of this microphone is amazing. If you are undecided or hesitant, don't be this Pac is worth every penny. All of the pieces are very nice quality. The boom arm is sturdy and strong and holds the microphone tightly, the pop filter is perfect for perfecting sounds. Overall A+ ... show more

  • Great Quality!
Style: Q2U Gray
I was looking for a decently priced microphone to use for my youtube channel. I do a lot of narrating/voice overs etc, and this mic works great. just an overall good sound. Always remember, just because a microphone is more expensive doesnt always mean its the best. This mic works great for my little office studio. I do have a few acoustic panels up on the walls though to help absorb sound. even without the acoustic panels the sound is perfect....I would even say podcast quality, and its a very simple setup! ... show more

  • Cheap, Quality Mic
Style: Q2U Gray
I bought this Dec 2022 and now it’s Dec 2023, so I’ve had a whole year with this. Out of the box, the volume was still low for me next to my mouth, so I needed to make some adjustments in OBS. It captures my voice well, but this thing is noisy. IDK if the terminology is correct, but raising the volume raised the noise floor and I have to use filters to cut most of it out. Even then, you can hear slight static when I speak. Before I did any of that, raising the volume in an editor still resulted in noise. May be interference with the wire too. Other than that, I think this is pretty solid. My voice is clear, and that’s all I need since I’m not doing any professional work. I’ve never used it in a live application such as Discord or gaming, so I can’t tell you how it sounds there. Another thing, this mic is sensitive. Keeping it close to your mouth helps with noise rejection, but if you have it pumped up like I do it still picks up keyboard thwocks and mouse clicks. If you position the rear of the mic to the noisiest sound, it should help mitigate that, but my setup doesn’t allow that. This is all on USB as I don’t have an audio interface. I also have it on a boom arm to get it close to my mouth. It sits a couple inches to eight inches away. The mute switch is nice. The mic runs my HD 599 pretty well. I noticed a difference between plugged into my PC vs the mic. Pleasantly surprised me. Overall, I think this is a good mic if you’re looking for something less than $100, and is USB/XLR. For someone that has no idea what they’re doing and is looking for something relatively inexpensive (me), it works. There are alternatives with USB-C connections if you’re looking for something more modern. Like the ATR2100x-USB. If you’re looking at either, both seem to go on sale regularly, so I’d wait for the price to drop before grabbing one. Of course, at $60, this is a fine grab too. ... show more

Dealing with weird microphones & headsets that all had issues, I finally opted for a proper microphone. Now all my friends can hear me for once, after 10 years of yapping!
