I live in the country and the perimeter of my yard is about 1700'. Every year I would suffer with blisters and eventually end up with trigger thumb or trigger finger from the constant pressure from traditional pruners. After three trips to a hand specialist (once each year) I decided there had to be a better way to get this unpleasant and painful job done. That's when I saw an add for this tiny handheld chainsaw on FB. I did my usual research on which brand would be the best for the money and decided on this one. I have to say it's the best gardening tool I've ever bought and believe me, I've bought a few! I was able to trim back an overgrowth of a mixture of wisteria, blackberry canes, wild grape vines and honeysuckle vines in no time. I cleared a swath approximately 30' long, 3' deep and 4' high in about 45 minutes. It would have taken hours and many blisters to do the same amount with regular pruning shears. So, trimming is now fun......the hauling off the trimmings, well not so much but it's gotta be done! This little gem comes with two extra blades, safety goggles, a pair of so so gloves, a tiny bottle of oil for the chain, a couple of tools, two 20v batteries, and of course, the owner's manual. Not to mention a very nice sturdy tool box to store this treasure in. There are only two downsides to owning this wonderful tool. One is that it can be a bit tricky changing out the blades for a fresh one. It took me a while but I finally managed to get it on properly. The other downside is that using this little gem is so much fun, you trim away and don't want to quit and then you see what a huge pile of branches and such that have to be hauled away. Oh well. Anyway, if you want to make trimming easier, this is the tool for you. I'm 72 years old, had a stroke last year, and can work for several hours with this as it's lightweight and again, fun to use. This little chainsaw has done a great job with helping me clear some unruly bushes in the yard. It is fairly easy to use and I believe it is a good value for the money. The chainsaw is pretty lightweight, which was important to me so that is a huge plus, makes it easy to move around. The media could not be loaded. This is second unit I have purchased, the first one died but was used a lot last year. I have several hardwood trees around the home and broken limbs and light trimming is needed all year long. Plus points are easy to handle and quickly trim or cut up limbs with the 6-inch length. Con's are easily the battery charging time takes more than a couple of hours it seems. I used my older unit batteries and doubt this one shows the charge status light on the battery itself. Good to have spare chains but they tend to stretch and get loose. Adjustment is better with this unit for the nut but the adjustment is harder to perform with the small screwdriver. If you plan to do more work look into the 40v 10-inch units but this is a delight to use clearing limbs and small firewood. And yes I do recommend if this works for light duty and reasonable price. ... show more

I purchased this tool during Amazon Prime Day. I thought that the price was too good to be true. I was very suspicious on the quality and durability. When the package arrived, I quickly noticed that the kit came with everything that is needed to use the chainsaw. The kit comes in a rugged plastic case with metal hinges and latches. The chainsaw sits inside, along with two 20 volt lithium batteries, a power charger, a droplet bottle of oil, an extra chain, a pair of googles, a pair of safety gloves, a little screwdriver and a lug wrench to tighten then chain. Very impressive that they included the bottle of oil and the lug wrench. The chainsaw is extremely easy to use. I have been able to cut tree limbs up to 4 inches in diameter. I have found that I can cut shrubs, trees and other large plants that are in my yard. A battery charge lasts a good thirty minutes of use. Also, the battery charge is very fast. This little chainsaw deserves my praise. I have a mid-size gas Craftsman and cordless Ryobi chainsaws, and this little tool beats both of these tools; my Craftsman is quite heavy, and my Ryobi does not last long to finish the job. This tool is light and it can handle to cut at least an 8" diameter tree or wood and probably can do cut even bigger sizes, I'm really impressed with this tool, I'm glad to purchase it, very reliable chainsaw. ... show more

For context, this review is being written by a fat 70-year-old woman with a bad hip. This little chain saw is fabulous. It came today, the batteries were already charged, so I got right to work sawing down the "weed trees" clogging up my back yard. I'd been using loppers to shorten them as much as I could, but I was constantly cutting off new growth, which was a giant pain, and the remaining trunks were still in the way. Less than 10 minutes with this baby and the trunks were gone and everything was at the curb. I've got some more trees to remove or just trim in the front yard, and I can't wait. This was a great deal for the price. It came with 2 batteries, 2 extra chains - even gloves and eye protectors, all packed into a sturdy case. Not to mention it's a lovely shade of blue.
