I was skeptical buying this machine, but after I read all the reviews I just went for it. I’m so glad I did! The machine is so easy to use, but it’s really the customer support that sets them apart from competitors. I’ve never touched an embroidery machine, but seeing the support not only from the company but also from other customers gave me the confidence to start my embroidery journey. The media could not be loaded. This machine was a splurge and I am soo excited to keep learning! I’ve done a little embroidery but this was a big step and so far is so incredibly easy to use. I love that you have everything you need from the moment your machine arrives - machine, stand, embroidery thread spools, extra needles, hoops, hat hoop and stand, tool box with EVERYTHING you might need. They even provide a USB to transfer your files to your machine. Smartstitch also provides a technical support group that you can reach out to at any time, paired with one on one training to ensure your machine is set up correctly. Before training, the getting started videos walk you through threading your machine and preparing your bobbin. During the training, they walk you through a set of test stitches to ensure all 10 needles are working/threaded correctly and your tension is set to ensure high quality embroidery. Once you know the basics, the rest is a breeze. The video is of the first thing I embroidered on my new S1001 - a zippered canvas pouch. It came out perfect and I couldn’t be more excited to expand what I am able to embroider. The machine is fast and not as loud as I was expecting, which is a plus. My only struggle thus far is hooping. These hoops are a bit different than what I am used to, so it’s going to be an adjustment. Not hard, just different. Overall I am absolutely in love with my new embroidery machine and can’t wait to see what projects I can accomplish! ... show more

If you are looking to get into custom embroidery like I was - this is the machine for you. This machine is a very cost effective investment that gets you into the embroidery business. No experience running an embroidery machine? Don't worry. Their customer service is second to none and they will help you through the process of learning how to use the machine. The machine itself is fantastic but the customer service is why you purchase it. I cannot rate this company and their machine any higher. They are a 10 out of 10. I had never run an embroidery machine before and within days I created the sweatshirt shown in the photo. I absolutely love this embroidery machine! I have used embroidery machines before so I am somewhat familiar with them. Even if you’re not familiar with them I think this is a fairly user friendly machine. The support that comes with this machine is amazing to me. After reading several reviews, I thought it sounded to good to be true…but the technical support is amazing! They answer questions every day, they offer to video train you, and you get support groups on Facebook to ask questions and show off your projects. I’ve had this machine for about a month and I’m already planning on grabbing a second one! I love this machine and totally think it’s worth every penny! ... show more
