This is an OEM-quality replacement for the slider found on typical Dometic RV awnings. It is not better quality -- nor worse -- than what you get from Dometic. These parts are well made, but they still break because putting a Dometic awning away isn't goof-proof. At some point, you have to let go of the tape and let the awning finish rolling up. If the awning arms aren't in the right place, you break one of the wings off on this part. I've done it twice. Replacement requires TWO parts -- the slider and the "rivet." The rivet is an odd size and hard to find, yet some part suppliers sell only the slider and leave you hung out to dry, looking for the "rivet." The supplier will then be glad to sell you one for a few extra bucks. In THIS case, this seller supplies both the slider and TWO rivets to make sure you can get the job done in case you mess up the first rivet. (It's best to use a rivet punch).
