  • Totally happy with size, set-up, versatility and quality, also in wind and rain.
Size: 2500x2500
I used it twice in combination with my ARB awning and slept in it one night with wind gusts and rain. To set up the awning you need two people, but this tent you can do alone. Its an easy slide-in at the car side, as well at the outside, and clip on on the two other sides. If you hate setting up a normal tent, you will love setting up this product. The light strip is just an easy connection with your car 12V cigarette plug, or with a portable battery. The cable that comes with it is long enough. The space inside is great. I am 6ft2 and cannot look over the roof of my SUV, which means I can stand up straight in this tent. And 3x me could lie in it on a mattress. During day time you can zip open all sides and you will be protected by mosquito nets. At night you can leave some open to get air in or close it all off and be perfectly protected against the elements. I had big wind gusts in North Texas with rain, and the tent kept up and everything on the inside was dry next morning. You need to be aware that due to the square shape and due to different car sizes it is mounted to, the set-up is not necessarily as tight as with a normal tent, also not when using the tent pegs and guy lines. This results in more flapping noise from the sides than you would have with a normal tent, especially with wind gusts. That is the only disadvantage I could think of sofar. ... show more

  • Very Impressed!
Size: 2500x2500
I took our ARB awning and awning room on its maiden voyage this past weekend. Took my son on a mother/child campout where we would be tent camping for two nights and they let me use my new tent. I wanted to give it a go for a trial run, before we went off on a big camping trip. I was very impressed with the quality and quick setup of this tent with the help of two rowdy boys. I bought a patio rug to lay down on the floor, worked perfect! We only used one cot, but there is definitely room for two. Would easily sleep four people. The mosquitos were horrible this weekend and the mesh did an awesome job keeping the bugs out. This is exactly why we bought this tent. We did have to sleep with the outer windows open because it was still pretty warm in LA for camping. But I do believe it would hold in the heat during the winter months with or without a heater. It held up great in the wind after staking it down. I was actually worried it was going to launch a few times, but it took the wind like a champ. We thought that it was going to rain, part of me wanted to see how the windows would hold up in the rain. It sure would've got hot quick if we had to zip up the outside windows. I'm worried about water coming down the space between the Jeep and the awning. But it never rained, so didn't have the chance to test it out. Thinking I will have to bring a tarp to throw over that space in case of storms. Overall, I was very impressed and so were the other parents! I can't wait to take it on our next adventure! ... show more

  • Well made and spacious
Size: Size: 2000 x 2500 mm
We have camped in this awning room twice and are very impressed with it so far. Seems very well thought out and durable, and quite spacious for two people and two small dogs. It's nice to be able to stand up in the room! We also like that the floor is a "tub" design, where the bottom fabric/material goes up higher than ground-level. This way, if it rains, the floor seams aren't sitting on the wet ground. We like how the ceiling of the room has a transparent strip to accommodate the LED light built into the awning. And we like how the sides can be completely closed for privacy/warmth, or completely open with mosquito netting. ... show more

  • The tent is great.
Size: 2500x2500
We are going to use it for camping. It is great. Just what we expected. Our complaint would be in the delivery. It came USPS early in the morning. The box looked as if someone had opened it. The top was torn and hanging open. The product was intact though.

  • Good design, but sub-par durability, truly a blue sky scenario product.
Size: 2500x2500
I purchased this product in March of this year. It has seen 5 serious uses since. Some of this product's usefulness/drawbacks are a critique of the awning that is required as part of the room. PROS: - The setup and tear-down time is relatively low and fairly straightforward. - I like the overall design of the awning room. - There's plenty of ventilation and screens on all sides of the room. - There's zipper access on all four sides. - There are two zipper accesses for cables at the top edge of the room. - There are plenty of ties, hooks, and D-rings for stakes or other mounts. - The black, tarp-like bottom is fairly durable and sits high (about 1 foot) off the ground. - The room has an actual ceiling. - Material is water resistant. - Quite spacious. CONS: - Because the room is a cube, you need to use some kind of pole (see pictured) to elevate the awning to prevent water from pooling when it rains. Even if you do that, some water still needs drained from the corners. - Some of the room is of average or above-average durability, namely the zippers and screen mesh, and room-bottom. However, the fabric could be a lot stronger. - The seams could be double-sewn instead of single-sewn. - The fabric in terms of the walls and seams should be thicker and stronger. - The fabric housing the pull-through into the awning's groove/slot is not strong enough. It ripped after only 5 uses. That was extremely disappointing. ARB has been notified, I'm waiting for a response. - The room has to be staked down and anchored for even light to moderate winds. Not doing so will likely bend or break the weak aluminum poles or velcro staps of the awning. Overall I wish the room was more durable through and through. There's really no need for ARB to skimp on the quality of the fabrics, seams, and other components due to weight or anything like that because the room is not mounted to the vehicle, the awning is. So I'd like to see the room built stronger like a proper tent. I also think ARB should ditch the fabric groove part of the assembly and make BOTH attachment points a zipper. Not only would this be easier to setup, it would be stronger and more durable! ARB has a lot of potential to make this better and if they did it would be truly a convenient product for outdoor recreation. ... show more

  • Great addition as shelter!
Size: 2500x2500
Loved the ability to open the walls for air and viewing while keeping out of the wind.
