Was super hard to install the black stringers through the top and bottom of the awning fabric. It was like it was glued together. In the center of the awning there was a 1/2 inch slit and a few pinholes. The valance ends were not hemmed but rough cut and not straight. It took the bulk of a day to do a couple of hour job. Not a very good quality cover. Had a lot of wear just from shipping. The plastic cording pieces broke in multiple places when we tried to install the cover. It was not as wide as the previous cover we had. The tassel piece was separate from the main cover as well. Would spend more on a different cover ... show more

DO NOT purchase this awning from Doniks. Firstly, the warranty is only for 3 months. Secondly, where the awning was folded for shipping ended up splitting leaving an open long cracks for the rain to enter (the worst leak was right over the door step and it ended up freezing making it a slip and fall hazard!!!). Thirdly, the colour of the awning faded after just one year and looks nothing like the Amazon picture. It now looks like washed out blue and not purple. ... show more
