Very good for sealing, patching or putting together new bricks. Only thing is. The bricks I bought from a seller on here were cheap and it expanded and exploded. It has nothing to do with this. This product works fantastic. Highly recommend

Used this to seal joints and seams when assembling a barrel to stove kit. Perhaps it had to do with shelf life, but it seemed rather dry coming out of the tube. Be prepared to work quickly, and have something handy to reseal the calking-tube nozzle. Once it was cured, it did a great job Withstood the high temperatures of the oil barrel wood stove. I recommend keeping a spare tube on hand as it cannot be reused once it cures - if you have to take the connection apart for any reason, you'll need a supply of fresh compound. ... show more

I only needed a small amount of this stuff but it was worth it buying the entire tube. I have a grill with infrared burners and it needed a new gasket for the burners after it was entirely dissembled and cleaned. The seal looked like asbestos so I decided that this stuff would be a decent substitute for the expensive gaskets. I will update this review later after 6 months and report if there were any problems with this stuff sealing those burner inserts. As of now it seemed to work well but was a bit messy to use. That was OK, it was easy to wipe away the excess. I wore those neoprene disposable gloves while using it. ~ ... show more

first off i have a old wood stove that i can't find parts for anymore the door glass busted so i replaced the glass with a steel plate even though its a 1/2 inch thick steel plate the heat from the fire warped the plate and wouldn't let me seal the gap around it so i had it welded and used Rutland Stove Gasket Cement to fill in to help the weld and to make it look alot better ... show more
