It wasn't difficult to install, but the instructions weren't that clear. I ended up going to Youtube to make sure I did it right. Other than that it's beautiful once it's up.

The ceiling fan is beautiful I give it 5 stars, I like the brightness and the soft light and the timer for the fan, but the installation and assembly was a nightmare from elm street 1 star. The instructions aren't in English and the video we found was 12 minutes long. Cookies to my wonderful husband he watched it 6 times. And he did a little at a time until he got it all completely assembled. He has the patience of Job, he will not be defeated. We had to call an electrician to install the fan. The electrician was having issues because things are so close with not much room to get the screwdrivers in position to work. So it took us 4.5 hours to connect it and it all runs by remote not the switch on the wall. Note it doesn't state that in the installation pamphlet. I recommend the fan because it is beautiful and a conversation piece. It's lovely in our living room and a thoughtful and practical Christmas gift for our new home. ... show more

Instructions included where reaiiy bad took me hours to figure out how to put it together. And it did come with the middle hanging decoration. I was upset about that. (Center piece the hangs in the middle like a pull string) but all in all i like.
