Description

The DA1560 is a compact iron with all the benefits of a full sized Rowenta. Powerful steam is generated at a constant rate for optimal efficiency with a burst of steam button to remove tough wrinkles. The microsteam stainless steel soleplate has a precision tip for reaching narrow edges, seams and collars. The compact iron has a full range thermostat for use on all fabric types, and vertical steam capability to remove wrinkles in hanging garments. A transparent tank holds over 2-ounce of regular tap water, and the handle folds flat for storage. Ideal for travel, a dual voltage switch ensures that the iron is powerful at 120 or 230-volt. Travel pouch included.

  • Lightweight gets very hot but it’s tricky to use the heat control. Rather dissatisfied for a Rowenta
Style: Folding handle
I have several Rowenta!s but the heat control sort of different to get used to. Maybe it will loosen up with use. It seems getting used too I guess. Not the handiest way to adjust your temperature.

  • replacement of my broken one that fell & broke the handle so it wouldn't stay up

  • Super little iron--with two drawbacks
Style: Folding handle
This is a super little iron for sewing, quilting, and crafting. I have replaced using my everyday Rowenta (which looks huge by comparison) with the travel iron. The small profile allows for getting into tight spots. I like it so much, I purchased one for my daughter for her crafting needs. I don't fill with water (to avoid any rust or water particulate build-up) I use a spray bottle with water, so I have no feedback on that function of the iron. The first caveat…the handle stopped staying closed or open about six months after use (yes, I use the "PUSH" button at the bottom of the iron to collapse the handle). Since the iron was still under warranty, I contacted Customer Service…'cuz isn't that the point of a warranty? Wow, Rowenta made me work for it. A lot of back-and-forth email communication, and follow-up over about a five month period. After a while it felt like a test…how badly do I really want that replacement? With a lot of perseverance, I finally received my spiffy new iron. The second caveat--the base of the tiny iron is small (duh). I just have to remember to set the iron down on a smooth surface, after using, or the iron will tip over. ... show more

  • Lovvv this iron
Style: Folding handle
I use this iron next to my sewing machine so I don't have to keep jumping up to cross the room to my BIG iron, since I'm mainly a quilter I need to iron constantly as I'm sewing. This is just the right size.

  • Great iron, but warning for left handed people
Style: Folding handle
This iron works great! It heats up very quickly and is nice and lightweight. I don’t iron very often so a small travel size is perfect for me. Wrinkles are no match for it. Only reason it’s getting four stars is because it’s a bit awkward if you’re left handed. The cord is mounted on the right side of the iron, it’s hard to slide back and for with it in the way. If it was more centered I think it’s ease might increase. ... show more

  • Great iron for travel

  • Love this little guy!
Style: Folding handle
Tried a slightly smaller travel iron first and it wouldn't even touch my wrinkles. This one though, it gets as hot as my big iron but much easier to maneuver around on my shirts and especially the sleeves. And since I am always somewhere else housesitting, I rarely find an iron at the people's houses so this one travels easily and is even smaller to carry than my steamer. And it's supposed to do that job too! ... show more
