Almost didn't purchase as base measurements in the description are incorrect. The base is actually 5.5 x 5.5 inches. Not sure what base material is. It appears to be painted. The color is more of a brass, not gold. It's the first time I've ever built a lamp shade from rolled fabric to finish.

The quality is wonderful with a great price. They look like high end decorator lamps. They are well-made with a little weight to them, and the USB port is a great thing to have in any bedroom. Love the look!

The lamps themselves are very nice but the shades that come with it are a disappointment. You have to assemble the shades and the hooks inside the shade can be seen from the outside. I had to buy new shades for these lamps! Never have seen anything like it!!! 😫

Exceleent value. My only minor complaint are the shades which come disassembled. Shades look nice when lamp is not lit but when lit you can see the clips and mechanism holding them together. Its fine for the price but may bother some.

The 2 lamps were easy to put together. I didn’t even attempt to put the shades together. I purchased nicer shades at store. Light bulbs included. USB ports work great.

Liked the gold finish. Lampshades arrived in box rolled up like a paper towel roll, then you assemble them. Flimsy, cheap looking. I returned them. Advertising does not state lampshades are not normal lampshades that one would expect.
