I purchased this budget receipt printer to work with a 'Point of Sale' tablet app. It is working great so far as a wired solution, unfortunately I was able to set it up to work wirelessly. Other than that it prints pretty fast and clear!

Got this receipt printer for the store I work at. The one we have only allows USB or serial connection, so the network connection of this one grabbed my attention. The printer comes with a serial cable, USB cable, power adapter, and a USB drive with all the drivers and documentation. The documentation is fairly good (with a few translation mistakes but understandable) and very comprehensive. I tested it on both Windows 11 and Linux. Installation on Windows using USB was fairly easy; USB on Linux took me a little longer but I got it working. Since we have several computers at the store, I finally connected it to our store's network and got it working with both Windows and Linux computers. I must mention that, when I connected the USB to the Windows machine, Windows Defender detected approximately 4 malicious files on it. Not sure if it's a false positive or legit, but I'd recommend that you scan the USB drive with a good antivirus before using it. Overall I'm happy with the product. I hope Linux support is improved on future revisions, and the manufacturer makes sure the USB is free from viruses (assuming, of course, the scan results are legit). ... show more

I requested this to use at the charity I volunteer to issue the receipts to the donors and more. They have one they've been using that needs some slap once a day haha So this was a good upgrade to save some time. So far, this one worked without any issues during the test run (I literally just ran the test when I came to volunteer this weekend). The material feels quite good, not cheap, which I hope will last down the road. I have left the instructions to use this one instead of the old one at the desk, and if any issue arises in the upcoming weeks, I will update my review. If you know how to use one of these, you won't have any issue setting it up either. ... show more

The printer comes with a USB drive that contains documentation, utilities and drivers. As soon as I plugged the drive into my laptop, I got multiple warnings about viruses detected.

This is a compact receipt printer that's very practical and easy to use. If you want a machine for your business that just works, this will do that. It's solid and pretty light, so is easy to pack if you go to conventions or craft fairs. It set up immediately and prints receipts well, no jamming or illegible issues so far. The auto cutting is a nice feature that saves you and employees some efforts. It's a solid machine that works well without issues, which is all you need with something like this. ... show more
