    • Very easy to set up, nice quality, small footprint
My HP color laser printer was giving me fits, I needed something reliable to print documents at home. I decided that I didn’t need color, I just needed something that would print every single time without fail. This was one of the cheapest laser printers I could find, and quite small. Reviews said that it easily hooked up wirelessly, and it did. Set up only takes a couple of minutes I can now easily print from my iPhone or my laptop you click print and the thing quickly spits out a page. Print quality is good. I tried printing a picture and for black-and-white it does just fine. If you need a real workhorse printer get something else, but if you are only using it occasionally or at home, then this one will do just fine. ... show more

    • Great at the basics
A solid low cost printer. Love the small form factor and very easy to connect wirelessly with my devices. Nice for occasional small jobs. Chromebook friendly. The IPhone and IPad also pair nicely. I personally have found laser printers tend to last longer than Inkjet and hope that remains true here. It’s a bit noisy, to be expected at this price point. ... show more

    • DON'T DO IT!
Lets begin with installation. I wanted to buy a cheap solid printer, a simple plug and play. I am a Brother brand fan for life but decided I should not be negative and give this HP a shot, boy do I regret it. This printer will not install via a USB. To install this printer they force you to register, download their app on your phone, and connect your phone via blue tooth to their printer. They manage to wiggle their way into your cell phone and then of coarse send you all kinds of notifications to sell you their stuff (think of how invasive that is). Once installed it is buggy, it does not print instantly, it is a slow. Sometimes it just will not print at all and then at midnight it prints and wakes me up of course. If you go to get tech support good luck trying to speak to a human being you get the dummest Ai in history. So no luck with tech support, so I tried to reinstall it and reinstall it 3 times, same problem. In conclusion I am going to go and buy me a real printer a Brother I can plug and play and will work. My last one lasted over 15 years. This beauty is going to the ranch so I can take out all my frustrations with it and its stupid brand. It will become target practice for my AR15. Once I unload a few clips on it ill feel much better about loosing the 100 bucks I spent and I bet I ill at least like the brand for target practice. ... show more

    • Very simple and cheap, you get what you pay for
I have to agree with other customers here, the print quality is not great, and the print is very faint. if I want thick black ink I will continue to use my ink printer. The plastic is flimsy, this could easily break. The print speed is very good, but the print quality is barely ok. Faint and not very sharp. The Linux software, HPLIP, is pretty poor. It installs the printer twice, but both of them work, you can use either one. The test print doesn't work, but the test print from cups works just fine. I think this is actually just a GUI interface for cups. I print from the command line anyway, so this doesn't bother me, but it's not great software to begin with, very buggy, but not in a way that it affects me. Printing via cups from the command line works just fine. I got mine as a special for 99 bux, and for that price it's a good deal. If it weren't cheap I would be disappointed and return it. For 99 bux it's a good deal, I have plenty of low-quality stuff to print fast from the command line. ... show more

Wow. Printers have come a long way. I can’t believe how easy it was to get this thing up and running. If you only print black and white on A4 at infrequent/irregular intervals I think this is literally the perfect printer. It doesn’t have print heads that clog up if left unused. The toner lasts for like 1k pages. My phone and pc easily connected to the device. It’s SO small. Seriously I think this might be the perfect home office printer. ... show more

It took me a few times to get it to work with my cell, went into YouTube saw a video with instructions, and 2 minutes later I had it working. The printer is great a very small foot print for a laser printer, considering buying another for my house.

    • Great little printer!!
My old canon printer finally stopped working properly so it was time to find something new. The reviews on printers were so mixed and I couldn't decide on one until I came across this HP printer. The only down for me is that it doesn't print in color, in case I need it. But honestly, all my previous printers never printed correctly in color anyway so I don't feel like I'll miss out on anything. The set up on this was ridiculously easy and printing is every easier. I was able to send a link to my family members so they can easily connect as well. It isn't exactly quiet but it prints so quickly and doesn't take up much space at all.
