Most of us are not tiny people so I wanted to have a very sturdy base. The bed itself is not light and my husband and I tried it out. No creaks or any noise and it felt very solid. We believed what helped were the boards were in 4 sections and the boards are also velcro down in place. We knew the frame was sturdy, but not sure about the boards. Really happy with this bed. Instructions are great, and it was easy to assemble. Super solid. No wobble at all. And no squeaks. Slats coming in four bundles. So you just lay a whole bundle out at once. Easy.

Great purchase for my daughters first big girl bed. Easy to build! Can store all her toy bins underneath. Searched for 30 minutes for mattress holders to prevent mattress sliding. That was the main reason we choose this frame. Not many issues with mattress sliding though. Would buy again.

The full-size platform frame arrived a day early. It arrived in the factory box and weighed a little over 41 lbs. Everything needed for set-up was included in the box: easy instructions, allen wrench, extra screws, foot pads, mattress stoppers, etc. Set-up took between 45 - 60 minutes with the most tedious part being the tightening of the screws. The purchase description has a complete paragraph that states it includes rubber feet and mattress keepers. They even show them in their pictures of the item. None of these were included in the box. The feet contain a hard plastic foot that slides way to easy if on a wood or lvt floor. Other than that, the entire frame is very well made and easy to assemble. ... show more
