Very decent I thought it was just the cage but came with extra as seen in pictures. Needed something easier to clean and this is it easy simple basic, Only picture to show assembly and plastic part didn't make since I just used the gates and zip ties to hold the roof tight, my lil guy is an escape artist, overall satisfied. So overall, the products inside are very small. Meaning, that this cage would only be suitable for a dwarf hamster. The wood that was used to make the house and second level are cheap and it didn't quite fit right so you had to jam them into place. Also, the roof doesn't close all the way? We had to zip tie it down; what makes it worse is they only gave us four zip ties and there were supposed to be at least ten. It was also missing the other side of the screws used to keep the second level up so I had to go buy some. The latch had made scratch marks where it closes so it looks like it was previously used and sent back to Amazon. Clearly not with all the right parts. Honestly, it's ridiculous because the cage was $40. As someone with not a lot of money, I expected better. There is one page of instructions. That's it. There should definitely be more. The only other page was a picture of what it's supposed to look like when it's done. We need more instructions than just four pictures and three sentences. Really great cage, bigger than many on the market and much preferable to the typical undersized crittertrails you see all too often. Plus its very cute!! Only cons: the waterbottle it came with leaked and I had to replace it, and if you have a syrian hamster the platforms and houses are easily chewed due to the soft wood material, a friend of mine with a syrian hamster had a little house made of the same stuff and it was quickly chewed to bits. However I have a small chinese hamster and she fits here perfectly and isn't very destructive when she chews. If you have a dwarf ham or a mouse, its a perfect fit; might be a bit small for a syrian/teddy bear or a gerbil. Added an extra home that appears to be made by the same company. Wheel is nice and quiet. Put rodent safe sand in the little toilet room, hamster likes to play in it as well as using it lol. ... show more

I was about to complain about the front of the cage not be transparent. That was before I had it all together and realized there was a film on it. Some positives; you get a lot of accessories and the wheel is quite. Now the negatives. It is a pain to put together. The door hinges are a thin plastic and easy broke when screwing in the screws/nuts. I had to use hot glue to fix it. Also everytime you slide the three closers open/closed the screws/nuts constantly loosen and fall off. And I have never put a cage together where you are supposed to use twist ties. It's not seamless but it's not a horrible cage. ... show more

I got a winter dwarf hamster in December as a birthday gift to myself because I enjoyed having hamsters growing up and the one I picked stole my heart at Petsmart so I originally bought a Walmart cage that was 16x12 and it did great up until recently because the pan was all busted so I decided to get a bigger one. This was the one I decided on after hours of searching. I ordered the transparent see through one because it looked cool. It took about an hour to assemble everything but it is super cute and sturdy. The material others are complaining about is a thinner woodlike consistency but it's the same as the last house and wheel I bought so I have no problem because it gives him plenty of stuff to chew on. Overall I enjoy this hamster cage. My only complaint is the wheel because it wouldn't go on for some reason so I used my old one which also was smaller and he likes it alot ... show more

I only liked how affordable this cage was and it’s size. I have 2 robo dwarf hamsters and planned on separating them soon. Instructions was slightly uncleared. Materials are made poorly. My hamster bit into some pieces and broke off the hooks to the stairs. Keep in mind that some of these items inside the cage is like plastic styrofoam materials. Your hamsters will definitely be able to chew through them. The hamster wheel is big enough for my baby but it is difficult to move and run as it is stiff! I’ve tried adjusting many times but still could not. I really like the small bath bowl and food bowl that does comes with it though. One biggest thing that took me by surprised is that there was a large opening from each side of the top cage. Please look at the picture. It has a hole big enough for my hamster to crawl out. They are like escape artists so why design something that they can easily squeeze out of?! But please save your money from this item. I spent all of my labor to building this just to break it apart and return it. ... show more

My daughters friend had to get rid of her hamster in order to live on campus at the university. Poor little hamster had been living in a cardboard box for a couple of weeks. So this cage fit the need for our Robo. The wheel works well. Seems like the quality of the cage overall is good. My daughter assembled most of it - I’d say the instructions were not that great - a little more detail would be useful - but she figured it out. This hamster cage was a complete waste of money. I had to zip tie the shelf to the cage because the cheap plastic/ styrofoam kept breaking apart while tying to put it together. We used it for only about a month before I threw it away and switched back to the cage I had used before. Also, my hamster chewed up the wheel and had shavings everywhere so it is not chew proof!
