The Robelle Super Winter Pool Cover is a heavy-duty solid winter pool cover. Solid pool covers do not allow water to pass through their material. The Robelle Super Winter Pool Cover features a heavy-duty 8 x 8 scrim. The heavy- duty polyethylene material used for this cover weighs 2.36 oz./yd2. Both the scrim count and material weight are the best indicators of the strength and durability for your pool cover. This is a heavy-duty pool cover designed to protect your pool from the winter elements. The Robelle Super Winter Pool Cover features an imperial blue topside and a black underside. Please order by your pool size, as the overlap goes beyond the pool size listed. This cover includes a four-foot overlap. If you have a very large top rail, please consider a larger pool size. This cover should be able to comfortably float on the pool water without excessive stress. This cover is not meant to be used as a debris cover during the swimming season. This winter pool cover is intended to be used during the off-season. This cover is meant for traditional above ground pools with a traditional top rail. Includes a winch and cable that should be used to secure your pool cover through the grommets around the perimeter of the pool cover. For extra securing, cover clips and cover wrap (both sold separately) are suggested for pool closing. No other method of installation is recommended..

Bought this in Sept 2020 and is finally starting to show a little wear. It appears to be getting a little thin close to the edge, likely from the stress of being pulled around the pool edge. It doesn't have any holes that I can see though. I've never had a cover last more than 2 years before this one. Debating whether I should try for a 5th year or go ahead and buy another. I purchased the "premium" one which could be why it lasted longer. We also haven't had a very snowy winter the last few years in Southern PA. ... show more

Where to begin...well when I first received this cover I thought to myself that it was a joke. No way this thing will make it 8 years. As a prior pool owner only the thickest of thick tarps could make that bold claim. Nevertheless I installed the cover back in September 2019 and thought that this thing blows around WAY too much. I called Robelle and left a voicemail. I called again, left another voicemail. I emailed them. I could not get anyone from this company to speak to me because I had questions regarding the installation. Finally I had enough and filed a BBB complaint #13836867 with boston.bbb.org. FINALLY I get a call from a woman representing Robelle. I expressed my concern regarding the installation instructions. I told her I followed the precise pattern for installing the wire through the grommets and I cranked it up using the included ratchet. She asked if it was tight and I told her that if I tighten this up any more I might crush my vertical pool supports. She said don't worry, it's installed properly and if wind blows enough and gets under the cover it will flap. So flappety flap flap it goes whenever windy but I was assured it is normal and installed properly. So two weeks ago I remove the cover. There are grommets ripped and torn and the cover is peeling apart in places. I laugh to myself because, again, as soon as I saw it I knew there was no way this cover would last 8 years. This morning I sent pictures of the damage to Robelle asking them how to file a warranty claim. Dan from the company responded with: 'Are you hanging anything from the cover? We don’t see issues like this. In high wind areas we recommend using the winch and cable, cover clips, wrapping the perimeter of the cover with cover wrap/cover sealer. There is an item called a wall bag you can fill up and put on top of your cover for extra securing. I have attached our warranty for you to review again. The warranty specifies: "Excessive abrasion, holes caused from wear or wind damage and grommets pulling out are specifically excluded from this warranty.” The warranty covers if the seams split open and water is passing through the seams. As a customer service courtesy I could deliver a replacement cover to you for $40. Please note per the warranty you are responsible for the shipping charges, which would be $25, so I am only charging another $15.' BUYER BEWARE! This cover will only last you ONE SEASON. When you try to claim the warranty which they tout, you will be greeted with this CON ARTIST RESPONSE. I believe this is their scam...sell cheap, imported tarps that they purchase for pennies on the dollar and when you try to make a warranty claim, they charge you again and call it a 'customer service courtesy'. I ordered this cover for my 24 ft round pool. I find myself buying a cover every year because even the most expensive covers end up ripping against the pool over the windy winter. This cover was plenty large enough to come down on the sides and went on easily. Once on, however, I discovered a seam that was not heat sealed, and I had an 11 inch hole in the cover. I put duct tape on it, but I don’t think it will hold. I certainly did not expect to have a “holey” cover right out of the box! Too late to return it. I hope I get through the winter. *****NOT MADE IN CHINA***** This cover is made in Vietnam, which based on my initial view is a big plus. I have seen a lot of crappy covers over the past 21 years, and so far I am very happy with this one. This cover is by far the most generous in size of any cover I have ever owned. Most of the time they barely fit over the edge of the top rail. This one provides substantial overhang. In years past I have had quality control issues with grommets being bent, missing, out of alignment, or improperly spaced. Everything with this one is perfect. A little note about warranties in general for those who hold them in high regard. Having had a pool for the past 21 years I have come to recognize these so called 10 or 15 year warranties is nothing more than a flat out lie. Once I had a cover split apart along the main center seam after an arduous week of use. That particular seller would not accept a picture, but instead wanted me to repackage their garbage and mail it to them. All of which would cost roughly as much as a new cover. As such, I have no expectation whatsoever that I'll be able to collect on a warranty let alone get more than 2 years, 3 if I'm really lucky, out of any cover. The winters here in central New York are just too brutal. So I base my review on my initial findings with the cover. If it fails to make the 2nd year I'll downgrade the review. If it makes it beyond the 3rd year I'll also note that as well. Also I don't bother with the center pillow float anymore either. The foolish things deflate halfway through the winter and never provide any benefit. ***************************************FINAL UPDATE DECEMBER 10, 2018******************************************************* After the 2nd winter I noticed some areas had thinned. This is the 3rd winter and almost immediately one of those areas ripped apart. Overall, I feel it was still a very good cover compared to other ones I've had over the years. ... show more
