Firstly I can't comment on the durability but I will try to update the review in a couple months to give my experience. That being said it is more like tent fabric or a popup canopy fabric. I may at some point see if I can spray scotch guard on it for added protection but I will have to research if the fabric is compatible. I love the grey color its very nice and blends in with my patio décor nicely. Plus it's not too bright and easy on the eyes in full sun. The stitching is high quality and reinforced at the seams and d-rings and very well made. It's also water proof, in full rain it worked awesome with no leaks. I did not use the supplied rope that came with it instead I opted to use carabiners attached to eyehooks on my posts so I can take it down easily in the winter months. The rope looked like it would work well if you are in the situation you need to use it, I however did not. Overall it's quality shade cover, awesome color, well made and rain proof. One last thing it is super light so if you were to bring this say camping it would be easy to manage. ... show more

Very well made. We got the grey color which is a nice neutral light grey. The stitching seems secure, and the edges are hemmed nicely. Metal rings on each corner are attached well and can be tied to the included rope if you want to hang it that way. We tried to use the included rope with several different types of knots before giving up and getting hardware instead. We weren't able to get firm tension with the rope to keep the shade from whipping around in the wind. The triangle shape of the shade is attractive and interesting, but doesn't give a lot of shade. I regret not getting a square or rectangle shape. Make sure you measure your space and think about all options to maximize the amount of shade it casts. ... show more

I need to cover a square that's 10'x10'. I know these shades bow in at the sides, so I ordered 12'x12' to be safe. The photo with the measurements clearly shows that the center is at least 10'x10'. The shade I received is much smaller across the center than the one in the photo. I measured and it's 8'4"x9'2", so it's useless to me. ... show more

I looove the material, lightweight so it doesn't add to the stress on the tension, smooth glossy type material that's great for repelling water, and it looks very sleek and professional. I live in Washington, so I needed something that would work well with alot of water and I think this is it!
