RC cars come in so many sizes and price range, how do you make sense of this? I'm still fairly new and a quick study. This is the fourth RC car I've purchased this year and the most expensive. I've had it long enough to understand it will be my #1 because in spite of repeated beatings it is available to play with always. My #2 and #3 cars have broken, ordered parts, repaired and broken again while the RLAARLO handles it all... some really tough tumbles and a few stationary objects. The construction is well thought out. Just the right amount of metal, plastic, and carbon fiber in the right places. My #2 car, pretty much all metal does not do well with impact. It looks cooler only on days it's functional. The #3 car is mostly plastic and holds up pretty good overall to most tumbles but explodes on impact with stationary things like trees or teatherball poles. Now to make my point. I have spent more money on parts and more down time than fun on cars 2 and 3. So the RLAARLO car was the most expensive to purchase, however not a single failure to cause downtime or additional costs on parts replacements. I play hard with my toys, honestly most failures center around operator error. I didn't mean to hit the fence or garage. The cheaper cars will break unless you are one to be very conservative about your operation. The RLAARLO Omni Terminator is fast, and if you change the drive gear (included with car) to the larger one in the parts bag, it's faster yet. It's built well in the right places and allowed to flex with a combination of different materials. So yes, no doubt it's worth a premium for a better RC car. Truth be known, I enjoy repairing them, but it's way better to be racing it. If something funny happens I'll add to this review. Also five Stars until further noted. There is nothing not to like. These are cool and I'm old, I appreciate the technology and craftsmanship. Usually in awe of one of these things ripping up the grass or shooting stones. Addendum: Sadly a glancing blow to the wooden fence broke a few suspension pieces. The good news is that the parts for this particular car are readily available with reasonable shipping time. Still my all around favorite. Parts arrive, time to work on your hobby. Plastic parts are of a unique combination of hard, yet flexible. Everything fits with precision and it's back running tough as if it were new. We jump it hard, it's the landing's I worry about. If you don't hit something stationary, it handles the craziest heights and distances. Of all the cars I've ever purchased, this is hands down the most durable and I may purchase another to take care of while I push my original into new impossible circumstances. My bigger cars aren't as fun as this one. ... show more

Unbelievable price for such a great RC truck. Even though it’s a mini 1/10 the parts are premium quality it comes with 3s ready out of the box and can accommodate full size batteries by relocating ESC. The only thing that I wish it comes with is rubber sealed bearings for sand blasting. I had the car completely gone under the water and it was still running fine I hade to dig it out but the wheels were spinning under water and then hadn’t had any problems blasting along the beach. ... show more

This thing rips. Very well built with many features you find on much more expensive brands. The reason I picked this over other options in the price range is how well the suspension handles. There's no point in getting an RC that can do 50 mph if it hits 1 tiny bump and cartwheels out of control. This thing doesn't have that problem and soaks up bumps like theyre nothing. As long as you don't attempt any full speed turns and use common sense it stays solidly planted on the ground. All that being said, after my very first battery pack was done I brought it back inside to charge the battery up. Upon inspecting for any bolts backing out and checking it over I found either a shield from the side of the bearing, or a shim (not sure which it is) that had somehow popped it's way out through the side of the rear differential cover. Or possibly was even assembled at the factory with it pinched in the cover. I caught it after running it so either is possible, but neither is acceptable. Luckily it doesn't seem to have caused any further damage other than the diff cover and power cup that the dog bone goes into. Update. Rlaarlo reached out to me after seeing I had some issues and corrected the issue and took care of me. Highly recommend. Great customer service. ... show more

I own a lot of RC cars. The other night my wife and I sat down and decided to rate our top 5 RC trucks currently. This was #1 for me (a close 2nd for her). It is fast, quick off the line, drives straight, turns on a dime, handles jumps and actually races pretty well with some tuning. I have broken parts on this truck but replacements have been inexpensive, quick to arrive and easy to install. It is small for a "1/10" scale but punches above it's class! We do own both the alloy and carbon fiber versions, both put a big smile on our faces when we take them out for a rip!!! Buy on sale makes the deal even sweeter!! ... show more

    • Defective Transmitter, Quality Control Issue
I got the carbon fiber version and the 'upgraded' transmitter was supposed to be a better one. Mine arrived with only three working buttons/controls, the on/off switch, throttle and steering. The rest did not work, steering/throttle trim, steering dual rate adjustment, throttle limiter, etc. Even the voltage indicator of the RC was not registering on the display, it's always 0 even though it was fully charged. Did not bother to figure out how to turn on the gyro, manual was of no use. Rlaarlo has to do more quality control on their products. I have MJX and WL Toys RC cars and cheap RC boats I got from Amazon that are working the first time I used them. This is my first RLAARLO product that I thought would be my 1/12 (mini 1/10) collection and I was disappointed. Reviews and youtube videos that I watched were telling me this was the one. I guess the one I got was an exception. I returned it. Will order another one, hopefully it is built as it should be assembled. ... show more
