Nice little drift car and has a cool looking body. I had to return my first one because the motor went out on it within 1 battery use. Everything else worked including the steering and lights, but it would not go forward or reverse after trying with both batteries. Replacement seems to work fine. Steering isn't proportional, you are either turning left or right. Comes with 4 cones and 2 batteries. Would make a good gift for a 10 year old boy. Fun to drive! ... show more

For me this remote control car is a great 1/14 scale model of an actual drift car. This unique design racing sports car has a tough PVC shell that operates with a non-interference 2.4 frequency and pushes 25 Km an hour and the battery life truly is off the charts. This particular RCC performs U drift and 8 drift stages and is easy to control with sensitive movement, adjustable tilt direction including angles that gives me a ton of fun experiences. I collect RC vehicles. I have six helicopters, seven cars, seven trucks, five boats, a backhoe, five drones, and an Abrams tank. This is the eighth car that I have ordered. Right out of the box the car is almost ready to drive. It comes complete with the car, the controller, two car battery packs, a second set of rubber coated wheels, cones for setting a track, and a USB battery charging cable. The only things it did not come with are two AA batteries for the remote and an actual battery charger. I have several old Samsung cell phones, and the charger from one of those works well to charge the battery packs. This is a really neat vehicle with some nice features. The car is all wheel drive which kind of surprised me on what I consider an entry level car. It comes out of the box with the smooth hard drifting wheel installed, but also comes with four rubber treaded wheels that you can swap out for better traction. Another feature is a button on the remote that switches between high speed and low speed. I didn't see a huge difference in the speed of the car but could hear a difference in the motor pitch. I may have been spinning the smooth tires on the carpet. One thing I am not crazy about is the thin vacuum formed body that is common on many of my other cars and trucks. I would prefer a car body that is a little more substantial. The battery compartment is also large enough to hold a much larger battery pack than what comes with the car. ... show more

    • Remote control is cheap
I just received this remote control car for my boy and he was so excited. Unfortunately the controller is cheap and barely turns the wheels left and right. I will be returning this car.

    • My Nephew Loves This Car!
My nephew recently got into cars and, after watching the Fast and the Furious movies, is all into drifting. He was thrilled to play with this remote control sports car and has a lot of fun with it. The car comes with 2 sets of wheels - 1 for drifting and 1 for regular driving. It also has 2 batteries for the car, a USB charging cable, 4 plastic traffic cones, a small screwdriver, some spare screws and a little instruction booklet. It is easy to change the tires in and out, but sometimes they pop off if you are driving fast. The drift tires work best on a smooth, flat surface like tile or laminate. The regular tires are more rugged and are better for outdoor driving or uneven surfaces. The remote control is held in 1 hand and takes some getting used to. I am used to holding a remote in 2 hands, but this one you grip and drive. You need to supply your own AA batteries for the remote. The exterior of the car is plastic and I don't think it can take a lot of hits. You need to drive it carefully so you don't run into things as I think it would crack the exterior. We haven't had any issues so far, but I would recommend buying something more durable if this is for someone's first remote control car. The car is small, but very fun to drive once you get used to it. This car is a great gift for a preteen or teenager who is ready to drive something a bit more challenging. ... show more

    • Almost perfect for the price point
I have ordered a very similar RC drift car in the past that is almost identical to this one, so it was easy for me to compare strengths and weaknesses between them. There are both R35 Nissan GTR's, but with slightly different wheelbases and wheel sizes (only different by a few millimeters). The body and mounting system on this car is so much better than the other one I ordered. It uses the more standard posts and pins that most hobby grade RC cars use. My other model uses cheap plastic pins in the side, that don't even keep the body from clearing the wheels from scraping the wheelwell arches. The overall construction of this RC car is miles ahead of the other one! This one also has two different speeds that you can select, which is a nice addition. The ONLY thing that the other RC does better than this car is something that is pretty significant unfortunately. The "throttle response" on the other other one is significantly better than this one. It is actually pretty weird how everything responds to input on this remote. The turning input is almost instant, but the throttle response seems delayed (especially when switching from forward to reverse or reverse to forward). It is still very drivable, as most of the time you have the throttle on and moving forward. This is very fun for kids or even adults who love RC cars. If you have never tried a drifting RC car, this is a very good one to start with! ... show more
