First impression is that the material is thick & sturdy. Stiching & straps seem decent. Top is a 1-fold, then clasp from the outside - no zipper or muli-fold, but the single fold is probably enough to keep the rain out. Excess strap length can be folded up and tied down with velcro. The bar clips are plastic and the closure spring is a little weak - the advantage is that you can remove it with 1 hand by pulling the string that ties both clips together. Pretty confident the springs won't be an issue but I'm not sure about the clips. Would rather see some coated metal to be sure. Probably won't put too much weight in it without using an extra tie down at the top. Overall, still pleased with it. ... show more

I just did a 1,200 miles on my KTM 1290 SAR, and those bags worked 100%, the came back still looking brand new. If you don't need to lock your side bags why bother to pay over 1K for them? In my case I used a metal top box to put my helmet and jacket whenever I stop and locked them there. Very functional for a 7 day trip for sure. ... show more

he saddlebag tore after just one use. The stitching quality is very poor. Additionally, after traveling 200 km in light rain, the laptop inside arrived soaked. I bought these for my 2015 Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT. I wanted a smaller bag that I could leave on the bike and would be unobtrusive and narrow unless it was loaded. These bags are just that. They're not huge for touring but they will carry a bit of extra gear and are good for everyday use. The only downside is that they have a lot of straps and take a lot of buckling and unbuckling to open and close. My bike also has oval shaped pannier racks. The clips on these bags are designed to clip on to round bars. They don't clip around the oval ones but I got them to work well enough with the mounting straps. ... show more

These are high quality Adventure, touring bags. They have straps to hold them down any possible way and all sorts of little doodads. I did find it strange that they sell them by the half !
