I’ll admit, I originally bought these Rhino USA Retractable Ratchet Straps for my dad, who has arthritis in his hands and hates fussing with traditional tie-downs. I was a bit hesitant at first because, let’s face it, these straps cost more than your average bargain bin tie-downs. Plus, I couldn’t stop picturing that one worn-out tape measure we all have that refuses to retract like it’s supposed to. Talk about nightmares! But wow—these straps blew my worries (and my cargo) away! From the moment I laid eyes on them, I knew they were in a different league. They’re like the Lamborghini of ratchet straps: smooth, powerful, and surprisingly stylish. The self-retracting feature is a complete game-changer. No more wrestling with loose ends or tangles; one click and the strap politely zips back into place like a well-trained puppy. Dad was instantly hooked, so of course, I had to get my own set. Now, I find myself searching for any excuse to tie something down—bungee cords be gone! I’ve strapped everything from the usual lumber and furniture to my buddy’s stubborn trunk lid (don’t ask) just to show off these beauties. As an added bonus, it feels great supporting a father/son business that’s American-owned and family-operated. With the comfortable padded handles, sturdy coated hooks, and included soft loop tie downs, these straps have truly earned their five-star reputation. No these aren’t as cheap as harbor freight, however they’re not harbor freight quality either. These are the best ratchet straps money can buy. When you go from pulling a wad of snakes out of your toolbox to get one strap, to pulling one of these things out you will never go back to a regular strap again. These ratchet straps are the fastest and easiest things to use. Unlike traditional ratchet straps that require a lot of patience or a second set of hands to secure a load, these easily secure an item/load with one person relatively effortlessly! The hooks come with spring loaded keepers to keep from falling off while you’re trying to hook the second side. The best feature is the push button that takes up all the slack in about 1 second! These things are awesome!!! After seeing a set my brother has and their ease of use, I sought them out locally for a week to no avail. Then to Amazon I went and of course they had them. I'd recommend these straps to anyone who uses ratchet straps to tie down loads, The self reeling feature is a very cool design and makes you wonder why no one thought of it sooner. They make storage a non-issue, not something anyone would normally say about ratchet straps. The only reason I did not give a 5 star rating, and frankly, it is a 5 star product, is the misleading "Made in America" impression you are given when looking at this product. Kinda like Iphones, they are "engineered in America" but built in China. Whilst this makes them no less good quality wise, and they really are a generational improvement by a father & sons company in the US, I actually live in Thailand. So, to support a US company, I bought American, paid extra to ship them, paid import duty into Thailand etc, only to see made in China on the box, which is pretty much right next door to where I'm living. Fool me once, but I have since found the same product with a different name on it, likely made in the same factory, and shall save myself over 50% next time I buy them. And I will buy again, they're great! If the father & sons happen to see this review, may I please suggest you actually manufacture in the US. You've designed a fantastic product which people will pay a premium for, tool up and produce it locally. Your present product pitch is misleading, maybe I missed something in the small print, but I sure saw the reference to the USA and believed I was supporting an American company, employing American workers. ... show more
