The retevis MB2 is a smaller sized radio. It will fit in some of the more compact vehicles. The radio is small, but full of features; many of these features are not in the owner's manual. However, there are quite a few videos online which will show anyone interested in expanding the unit's abilities exactly what to do. If this radio's performance & endurance qualities are on par with retevis' ham and gmrs units, I can see it serving well for many years to come. ... show more

Having a lot of CB experience going all the way back to the CB days of the eighties, we are no stranger to the world of CB radio, our last radio was a mobile handheld conversion. This radio is small and easy to connect with the included cigarette lighter connector, there is no need to have to mess with wiring. The radio is not full featured like our previous radios, one of the features we would have like to have seen is the the ability to control channels with the microphone. One of the features that is not commonly found on mobile CB radios is VOX hands free voice without having to press the microphone,, but we would gladly trade that feature for being able to change the channels on the microphone. While this CB radio makes a good entry level into the world of mobile CB radio, it lacks certain features that would make it more entry level friendly. ... show more

I honestly did not Revetis made a CB radio. I have use and currently own a lot of their products (mostly GMRS and ham HT radios). I was curious how well their CB radios work? Well here it is. This radio is very simple to install and set up. All you really need is to mount a decent CB antenna, run the coax cable to the head unit, mount the radio and plug the mic and power plug into available 12v cigarette lighter and you're ready to talk. I mounted this in my 4runner, ran the cable and plug it in and already picking up a lot of traffic since I'm about 5 miles away from a larger TA truck stop. Most of my test equipment are for ham and GMRS mobile and HT radios. So I'm not able to test the power out of this CB radio. The power cord to the radio seems like they are 14 gauge wire so I doubt it's pushing anymore than 20 watts. I really like the slick all black designs. The traditional brushes silver or chrome knob kinda looks old and outdated. Here is a radio you can mount in your vehicle and not have to worry that you installed a 8 track or cassette player in your modem car/truck. The buttons are easy to read and the volumn and squelch knob are right by each other. My only complaint is that the mic, which does feel it's well made. It's feel small and you can't change the channel from it. This requiring you to reach down to the head unit and change the channel or adjust the volumn. Overall this is one great modern looking CB radio I definitely recommend to anyone who wants to keep in communication when you're traveling via it's on the long boring highway or on the trails off roading. ... show more

I am new to the world of CB and this is my first time using a CB. The unit seems high quality and the buttons are ergonomic. Using the microphone and changing the channels is user friendly and intuitive.
