I had bought a cheap pair of rubber 15lb dumbbells and was overwhelmed by the smell of them. My gym is in the basement and you could smell them walking down the steps. Ended up returning those and buying the Rep ones. Also have a Rep AB-5200 2.0 ADJUSTABLE BENCH and really love their products.

Style: 80 LB SINGLE DB
The initial impression upon receiving and unboxing the dumbbell was how well it was packaged. The box came secured with three heavy duty industrial plastic bands, followed by reinforced packaging tape. Inside the box, there was bubble wrap laid on top and below the dumbbell with Styrofoam pads placed on either side of the handle. The dumbbell came wrapped in plastic to further protect it from damage. In terms of the quality of the dumbbell itself, the craftsmanship is very well made. There was no strong rubber odor; the handle was thick and fully knurled from end to end. The heads of the dumbbell also had great detail and quality to them, the numbers and the logo are embossed, the seams were smoothed out with no rough edges. Overall, I would have to say that these are the best premium quality rubber hex dumbbells on the market for the price. I think Rep Fitness did a great job of producing premium quality dumbbells compared to what other companies have on the market thus far. In which case, I would highly recommend them for anyone who is looking for premium quality dumbbells to add to their workout equipment or home gym. ... show more

The quality is good, the grip is nice and the handles aren't too thick. The weights weigh the same amount. One star off for being more expensive than Rogue dumbbell sets.
