Impulse, percussion, or "gun" massagers are great for sports. A real "game changer" that athletes often carry in their gym bags. And great for home therapy, very easy to use. This is a nice looking massage gun, I really like the color scheme over the usual black. And it's a good size—solid and powerful but easy to maneuver. It comes with a good selection of heads, which screw in with a partial twist. That seems a little better than the ones that press in and pull out, less stress on your hand. Some kits come with more massage heads, but at a point it seems just for show and there is duplication and more parts to fall out of the bag when you open it. This comes with a good variety of five heads, each presses firmly into its own holder in the case so it's not a mess when you open it. I especially like the wide, flexible flat (gently curved) head. It's perfect for leg muscles, quads, hams, and calfs. The case is nice, and I like that this recharges with USB-C, so I never have to worry about misplacing a dedicated charger, and can toss it in my gym bag or on a trip without concern over whether I'll need to bring the charger, because I always have a phone charger in my car. The motor is strong enough, and the sound level is quite tame. You can use this in a room without being terrible distracting. Pressing harder into your muscles, the massager counters with more effort, so you don't have an issue with the motor bogging down. Interestingly, the blue color bar on the display changes color as you apply more pressure and the massager's effort is increased, until it gets to red. It takes excessive pressure to get that far, but it's good to have the visual feedback. I've not used it long enough at one sitting to be able to tell you how long a charge will last, but it seems at least three extra-long sessions. At least at the strength and time I use. The unit displays battery life while charging, and also when you turn it on. It shows in 5% increments. The heavy, long-handled massagers typically have a longer battery life between charges. However, there's a difference between professional requirement of working on many different people in a day between charges and a personal massager. The battery reserve seems plenty for normal use. But some will prefer a bulkier massager that needs recharging less often, so there is a tradeoff. The battery is listed as 2000 mAh, and the claimed run time is 120-180 minutes on a charge. ... show more

When massage guns hit the market, I admit I didn't get the appeal. They seemed intimidating and barely more civilized than a drill, or at the least, geared towards people who did things like work out. And I had a massager so why did I need a massage gun? I owe all of you an apology. I get it now. The RENPHO Massage Gun opened up my eyes to a world of pressure that just wasn't available with my tame back massage that did little more than tickle skin. Like, there's tons of these on the market - the world is your oyster with finding one in your price range and aesthetic - but give the RENPHO a look. This has a look that is both functional (with smooth silicone grip) and beautiful enough to be used in a spa. The weight and size is in line with similar brands without any strange shape gimmickry. It is easy to use (very intuitive out of the box), low enough noise to not startle pet rabbits, and comes with a carry case that contains all pieces. I'm not in an office so being able to ease tight stressful shoulders at any point is very handy. I thought the contorting to reach trouble spots would be a deterrent since I (wrongly) thought of this more like a massage experience, but instead I find myself hitting the stubborn trouble spots for ease throughout the day and that is far more useful than a spa in a box. Oh the joys of aging. I currently have two issues I'll use this massage gun for: IT band in my leg and calcification in my shoulder. My physical therapist uses a massage gun as part of the therapy, but this is for me to use at home as I try to closely mimic the process. So far this gun is perfect. I find it small enough to easily handle, and it's certainly strong enough. I haven't yet found the need to use a setting higher than 1 or 2. The one my therapist uses is larger and seems more "industrial"; which is appropriate in a setting where it's being used throughout the day, every day. I don't think I'd want to use a gun which is any larger than this one, as I need to reach across my body to hit the right spot on my shoulder. This is a bit awkward, but a larger gun would be even more so. Overall this is a very nice and complete kit. The range of attachments is more than adequate for my purposes. The included case is sufficiently padded and keeps everything organized. The 10 minute time-out feature works well, and is a good idea. The gun is reasonably quiet and I don't have a problem hearing the tv while massaging my shoulder. Aside from having another person to use the gun for me, I can't think of any aspect where this gun comes up short. If I should have an issue after long term use, I'll be sure to update this review. ... show more
